My wife and I noticed that Gopuram is opening a location in the shopping center at Memorial and Meridian, just a few doors down from the Panera Bread (that is moving). I don't know if they are moving or expanding further north but we are excited. Most of the Indian buffets we've tried are very similar but my wife really likes Gopuram's lamb stew and I like their chili chicken (basically sriracha flavored chicken) and this location is a much easier drive than the one on 23rd. The "Gopuram" sign is up but the windows are papered over with a sign saying "coming soon".

Good to hear!

Guessing it will be in the spot Saturn occupied?

Agree. Glad to hear that! Hated when Saturn departed - was a nice lunch spot as alternative to Panera there.

I'm not familiar with Saturn but I looked it up and checked Google Maps and it could be the same location. It is definately in the row of shops that face directly to the East. Google Maps shows Saturn in the Panera location so I assume it was also along the row facing East.

My wife and I stopped in at the new Gopuram location right after I picked her up at work the other day. I thought the food, from the buffet, tasted great which made up for the fact that it was a bit more expensive than other buffets I've sampled. The place is very nice inside, but at that time of day--just after 5:00 pm--we were the only customers present. I was quite surprised. I had a variety of items, including some goat curry, rice and a curry made with potatoes and cauliflower. I'm not a big fan of cauliflower, but this was over the top. The waiter/owner brought us some fresh naan and a couple of pieces of tandoori chicken fresh from the kitchen. I mentioned that they seemed to be out of that pakora (spinach fritters) and in less than five minutes he was back at our table with some fresh pieces of that delight. The only minor suggestion I might have would be to turn up the heat under the steam table just a bit. We will DEFINITELY be making a return visit to this location and I hope that people will start filling it up so it will be possible to do so.

btw: It is, indeed, in the former Saturn Grill location.

I don't think a lot of PR went into the opening. I drive by it every day and I thought I noticed a sign saying when they're opened and closed.

They expanded. The original location at 23rd and Meridian is still going strong!

Has business picked up at the new location? I'm a regular at the 23rd location (have been for over a decade); it's right down the street from where I live, and they know me, so I don't have much reason to go to the Memorial location. Would be nice if it were successful, though.
