okatty 05-27-2015, 09:53 AM How could the world cup in 120 degree Qatar be questioned?? Makes all the sense.
sooner88 05-27-2015, 10:05 AM They're saying that $110M of bribes were related to Copa America in the USA which is supposed to happen at stadiums all over the country in 2016.
Jersey Boss 05-27-2015, 10:14 AM This is huge. FIFA is bigger than the NFL and the repercussions will be worldwide. It appears that AG Lynch has no fear of the big boys and is earning her salary.

Considering the evidence dates back to 1991, it would seem a LOT of folks have known how corrupt this thing is. Kinda like boxing.

Actually Dave, the charges relate to goings on since 2010.

All but guaranteed group of death every four years as long as we make the WC.

That is a good article - much more civil arrest procedures by the Swiss:)
bradh 05-29-2015, 08:29 AM You know what solves this? UEFA and CONCACAF boycott the World Cup and hold their own tournament. I want to include CONMEBOL but they seem to be just as dirty. Hell, the majority of CONCACAF is dirty outside the main players (and Canada). I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's the only thing that will get FIFA's attention.
This BS of tiny nations with no real intent to ever improve the game getting an equal vote and EQUAL SHARE OF WC REVENUES is a total sham.
