$4.5 Million building permit for 2-story, 24,000 sq. foot retail building at 10740 S. May Ave. This is across the street from the Crest, McDonald's, and Firestone Tire shop.

The two-story designation is simply because a faux "tower" will be included. Other than that, this building will be one-story of usable space.

Plans call for almost 6,000 square feet of leasable restaurant space on the north end of the building, and 18,000 for retail. The site plans below show a typical strip-mall setup. Utility/employee parking in the rear (East Elevation) and customer parking and a nicer facade along the street facing side (West Elevation)

Cool. I know these apartments were pretty far along when I went by on Saturday.

Anyone happen to know what businesses are planning on going in? I live just right by there. Really hoping we get some nicer food places, was very disappointed when McD's moved in.
