Off-topic, though not exactly worthy of a new thread, but the Taco Cabana just north of this intersection recently closed shop.

Pete 05-28-2015, 02:29 PM Not coincidentally, 7 Eleven just filed for $100K remodel of their store at this intersection. barrettd 05-28-2015, 03:33 PM Off-topic, though not exactly worthy of a new thread, but the Taco Cabana just north of this intersection recently closed shop. That whole side of May on that block is going dark. First Wendy's, then Dugout, then Taco Cabana...Of course, The Dugout is supposedly "remodeling". rtz 08-31-2015, 12:26 AM Looks like work at this site has started. zookeeper 08-31-2015, 12:53 AM This should be interesting to watch. OnCue and 7-Eleven both will be building at the same time or close to it - at the same intersection. I'm still not sure, is 7-Eleven going to demo the current building and rebuild at the same location? Pete 08-31-2015, 07:05 AM This should be interesting to watch. OnCue and 7-Eleven both will be building at the same time or close to it - at the same intersection. I'm still not sure, is 7-Eleven going to demo the current building and rebuild at the same location? No, and they aren't even expanding the building, just doing a big remodel. barrettd 09-01-2015, 08:23 AM While they aren't expanding the footprint, they are expanding their total space, taking over the whole building. They're already working on the renovation in the empty space to the north, with plans to continue into the store, keeping the store open through the renovation. Brett 11-09-2015, 05:40 AM Drove by the construction site yesterday. Looks like the giant steel beams have been sunk into the ground for the pump island. Dustin 11-10-2015, 05:14 PM Drove by the construction site yesterday. Looks like the giant steel beams have been sunk into the ground for the pump island. Yep. Here is a s***ty photo I took today. http://i.imgur.com/XBf6nZj.jpg Pete 11-12-2015, 05:26 PM Here is a slightly less crappy photo from today: http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/oncue111215.jpg Pete 01-24-2016, 01:35 PM They are getting very close to opening at this location: http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/oncue012316b.jpg barrettd 01-25-2016, 10:20 AM I hope so. That 7-11 remodel is a hot mess right now. Lafferty Daniel 02-25-2016, 07:55 AM It looks like they haven't done anything at this location in almost a month. Does anyone know what the delay is? barrettd 02-25-2016, 09:49 AM It definitely is moving slowly. Meanwhile, the remodeled 7-11 across the street is pretty nice. Dustin 02-25-2016, 01:23 PM It looks like they haven't done anything at this location in almost a month. Does anyone know what the delay is? Don't know why its taking so long, but someone asked on Facebook and they are 2 months away from opening. Pete 02-26-2016, 07:47 AM It may be that they simply have so many locations under construction right now. I suspect they are stretched pretty thin. |
