I'm going to Norman on the afternoon of New Years Eve for an OU basketball game. I don't have season tickets but was offered two complimentary tickets by the OU Foundation. I'm looking for suggestions on a good place to have a glass of wine or a drink before the game. I'm meeting my daughter in OKC for lunch that day so I won't need to eat first. Although I'm a Norman native and grew up there, I don't keep up that closely with good places for that. When I go to the football games I tailgate because local places are so busy. I know there isn't anything that close to Lloyd Noble so what would be a few good choices?

Thanks, Kevin. I checked out the website for Michelangelos and liked the wine list. It looked interesting and had reasonable prices. I may check that out.

Jax, Blu, Library, Blackbird, along with Brewhouse on Main, are all part of the Good Life Group.

Seemed worth a mention.

Check out the Library on Boyd...easily the best casual bar/pub with great food in Norman. That was there when I was at OU in the 60's and, as I mentioned, I'm not looking for food. It may still be great but I don't think it's what I'm looking for.

I enjoy the grub at Abner's and you can get a brew or a whiskey. I've only been a time or three and do not recall wine being available.
Maybe it is. I usually order a burger or a patty melt, so asking about wine wouldn't have even crossed my mind.
