thanks, kel . . .
for the reminder
of the remainder
who remember
early December . . .

I was going to make a comment
about the fact of selective memory
on the "How Quickly We Forget . . .
or not" thread.

Oh. Wait.
Who is this John Lennon of which you speak?

Thanks for The Reminder,
Amigo.

He was my "favorite Beatle".
On account of his "Iconoclasticy" . . .
Even if, he, himself,
Became a beetle.
And although we accidentally
Shared the same first name.
Translated: "Beloved of God"

Sorry, when I was a mere child
(or even up on into my '30s at least)
I purchased one of his Art Collections
In the form of a book.
And attempted to read it.
And appreciate the scribblings.
Contained therein.

On second thought, I was in my late '20s.
And my first thought was:
If only he hadn't met Yoko,.

Or moved to New York.
Into a trendy old Hotel.
And advertised inferior Salsa
Via a Naked Photo
Therefrom.
As the Rolling Stone
Rolled on

(I suppose that Ringo
could play a bongo serenade
as George's Guitar's silent weeping
is replaced by the Squeeling
of Yoko?)

Nah . . . That ain't gonna happen . . . hopefully,

34 years! I just got a time check. The song "So This Is Christmas" is one of our heavy rotation songs this time of year.

The 2 bigger questions are........

Why is Chapman still breathing when he should have met the needle years ago
What sounds worse, a sack of sick cats? Or Yoko?

I would call her singing caterwauling.
