What is going on at the NW corner of Lake Overholser? Looks like a large development. I have lived over here for years and am not used to seeing any kind of development in this area.

If you're talking about the new dirt turning just east of the Kilpatrick Turnpike and south of NW 39th, it was my guess that'd it be new residential

It's a huge apartment complex. called the Greens at Lake Overholser.

Will incorporate a 9-hole golf course.

Same company that operates the Links on NE 122nd just east of Broadway Extension and a ton of other similar properties:

I'm surprised there aren't more lakefront developments in Oklahoma City. You'd think there would be a huge demand premium for a home or development that fronts or has a view of a lake. I think this could be a tremendous opportunity for OKC to develop quality suburban housing that might be something to make other cities jealous OR at least something for OKC to confidently brag about.

Not so much the golf coarse. I know there are golfers here and I myself like to indulge, but I think OKC has too many and it eats up huge amounts of otherwise desireable land, particularly in the existing urban area. Also, golf coarses tend to be lacking in trees/foliage.

I'd like to see quality development that is NOT tied to a golf or exclusivity this or that 'club'.

Thanks Pete! Having been in this area of town my whole life I never would have dreamed that there would be such a large development at Overholser. I still think we are in the Boonies but with all the new companies building facilities around I-40 and Morgan Rd. and Yukon growing the way it is I guess it makes sense. Have you seen plans or renderings?

Is that mean it's also the same people that own the Links in Mustang?
