Was poking around the interwebs like I do and found this...
MyMWC logo design - 48HoursLogo.com (http://www.48hourslogo.com/project.php?id=30674)
The only time reference I can find is "5 Months" ago on the page.
Then a google search for MyMWC App found this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.publicstuff.midwest_city&hl=en
Only 10 downloads... well 11 now. There's an iStore or whatever Apples equivalent is of the app as well.

This image is also referenced with work done on the Cellular Clock Tower which was also tied into the MyMWC App icon design.

Gee.. how original Midwest City... Anybody else notice that the "Economic Development" has left the hands of the Chamber and moved back to the City of Midwest City?

I don't know that "back" is a good word for it. They have always operated side-by-side. MWC itself has don't a historically better job of keeping the development news made available to the public. Being tied to the city allows them to do things a chamber can't, since the chamber isn't the boss, rather a cheerleader. Both websites have fallen from grace over the last 5 years on the quality and amount of information provided, but at the same time, that doesn't really tell me about their work. They may just not have good web skills available to them anymore.

The Chamber has always used some guy out in Shawnee for all their web stuff. He puts up WordPress sites and then finds plugins to do what the chamber wants done. Not that WordPress is a bad open source software, I myself use it as a CMS. Anyways, WP has a plugin he was using to do backups of the database and website. This database has usernames, passwords, email address.. and unimportant data like site content, etc.. but his backup folder was the uploads folder which was accessible from the web. His second issue is that he didn't place a blank index.html file in the folder, nor did he block access to the folder in the .htaccess file. Now being the great software that WP is, they salt their database with a few key strings, but if you don't change those strings in the config.php file, then anyone can use the default strings to decrypt the salted and hashed passwords, etc. Since he selected to do a full site backup, even config.php, which holds the main database username and password, anyone who could view the files in the upload folder could download the rar'd file and view it's contents. This was a major vulnerability, I mentioned it to a Chamber member, but i'm not sure it was ever fixed, not that I really checked back to the uploads folder either...

I have used the MyMWC app to file complaints. It seems to be working really well now. I used it to complain about the lack of maintenance on the island in the Original Square Mile and they had it mowed and weeded a couple of days later. I have heard similar results from others. I would recommend the app.
