I noticed recently they are building something on the Northwest corner here. This would be on the other side of I44 across from Saints Hospital. Kind of looks like a bank to me but not too sure.

I drive by every day and can confirm that it is a bank. Saw them place the safe on one of the morning drive by's. Not sure which bank it will be but I was hoping it would be a gas station like a seven eleven or possible on cue.

Ah not a bank, I should have guessed TFCU. Now that I think about it I had heard they were going to build right out there. I personally wouldn't want to be right off the highway, for safety sake. The bank I work for has a branch off of the interstate and we have to pay for a guard because we've had issues.

TFCU's usually have guards on duty during business hours.

As a member this will be nice to have on the drive to and from work. However I would also like for a gas station off the highway there. Maybe across from the hospital or something.

I agree. The one at I44 and 89th is always busy, the one at 104th and I44 is pretty small, They really could probably use one across from the hospital. It's a matter of time I'd bet.

Maybe they are finally getting enough traffic to make it happen. I imagine I am not the only one who takes the state highway rather than going 35 to 240 and driving through that parking lot from Moore everyday.

SW134th isn't bad, but would be much better if it had 5th dedicated turn lane for the majority of it. I feel like I can never go 50 because everyone is always turning and it's got so many lights.

Seems like a perfect location for an Oncue.

That is very true. And there is room right now to do that at Penn, May and Portland so not would be the best time to do so.

I agree. Do it before more retail starts coming in. Right now it's mostly just pastures till you get to Moore City limits.

I was at TFCU this weekend and the receptionist referred to the new location as the Tri-City branch.

That's interesting, cause I wouldn't even remotely consider that tri-city area. Of course I get some mail solicitations for stuff in the tri-city area and I don't even live close to it.

Have a feeling that line between tri-city and SW OKC is going to blur more and more in the coming years. Seems dev is creeping up from there, down from OKC. Lots of change coming with that airpark development area, too.

Yeah I get that but if never consider myself tri-city. Just doesn't make since I always associate that with newcastle. I usually just consider myself SW OKC or mustang.

Yeah I don't figure we are alone. I know my neighbors mostly think the same way and even Pennyquilts from what I can tell is similar in thought.

I agree with the river being the unwritten border of Newcastle and any land to the north as SW OKC.
