Not really sure I like this. I think it was better in downtown..
A new location for the Edmond Outdoor Ice Rink has been chosen for this holiday season, said Ruth Green, administrative assistant for Ice Challenge Enterprises.
“We will be relocating to Mitch Park in the wide open spaces with a clear open sky,” Green said. “We will be like an outdoor pond. This year we’re going to have clear, invisible side rails. It’s really cool.”
The skating rink has been at the Festival Market Place in downtown Edmond since it opened in 2011.
Ice Challenge Enterprises owner Dmitri Logoutine continues to plan for a long-term seasonal presence in Edmond, he said.
The ice rink has become a popular winter hangout in Edmond. It has become a holiday tradition for many families wanting to celebrate the season.
