Right, been meaning to mention that the entire structure is pretty much complete and they are already working on the inside.

They should be opening soon.

We are big On Cue fans. My wife and I were talking the other day while it was pouring outside that it is so very nice to have the complete awning so you can walk from the pumps into the facility unscathed by the outside elements. We commented on how neat the new 7-11s are, however the lack of total cover where 7-11 fails in their renovations, in our opinion.

As I've said before. Existing signs are grandfathered and NEVER demo'd. The city has pretty much taken a zero tolerance stance on pole, flag, pylon, and monument signs. Pretty much anything obtrusive or able to block sight lines. On my most recent sit at the board of adjusters: almost all the variance requests were for signs. And none of them passed. They can't modify the sign but they can "repair" it by dressing it up and improving the lighting elements.p expect a big ole honking on que sign on that 50th to 23rd stretch of May that just might have the worst signage problem in OKC.

Umm, that is to say. If they own the rights to it. It might be on a lease as it sits on an easement and is not part of the parcel.

I guess I didn't understand how something as simple as a sign could be grandfathered in if it would be replaced with something more tasteful... but, it does look a little better than it did. My main gripe with it is that the beams are so wide that you have to pull kind of far forward on May (going south) to see oncoming westbound 36th traffic if you're trying to make a right turn. Every. Single. Day. But, it'll be nice to have it here. I miss QT from when I grew up in Tulsa, and this is the next best thing.

(I might add that part of the visibility problems at one point were from some scrub (plants?) that were growing around the base of the sign. They're gone now.

Was wondering how long it was going to be before they updated the sign.

Noticed this weekend that a fleet of trucks were pouring concrete. My guess is about a couple of months left until it opens.

They opened today.

Yep, drove by on my way home and saw they had the gas prices up. Didn't see how many people/cars were in the parking lot, but will pass it on my way home. I would be happy to take pictures, but I don't think it's necessary as they are all the same now.

Mmmm it's pepperoni pizza and quesadilla tornados and glacier freeze for dinner tonight! I don't even need the gasoline!

I drove by at lunchtime and the parking lot looked quite full. I was in a hurry so I did not stop. I didn't realize today was the first day of business.
