View Full Version : Ooooooo...
David 09-04-2014, 08:11 AM I have to tentatively agree, at least so far. The mobile style isn't terrible, but it isn't styled up (yet?) and seems to lack any access to your subscribed and participated threads lists. Unless I'm just not seeing those.
Is the OKCv0.1 style supposed to be adapting to a mobile layout depending on device? I'm not seeing any difference with it compared to the desktop appearance on my Nexus 5 running mobile Chrome (well, mobile Chrome Beta).
I really like the new header. What picture is that?
kevinpate 09-04-2014, 01:51 PM Not a fan of the new header. Well, to be fair, not a fan of what little I can see. I can see the OKCTalk text on the left and then the tops of Devon and Chase. Everything else, if there is anything else, is blocked off by a small height box that cover about 35-40% of the bottom section middle or so of the header.
Now that most the major issues have been resolved and we are aware of the few that that remain, I would prefer you contact me directly with any ideas / opinions on the general design, rather than post them on the forum.
Thanks.
JoninATX 09-05-2014, 09:29 PM Nice work Pete, like the new format as well as the night shot of Devon Tower & Chase Tower on top.
Plutonic Panda 09-08-2014, 06:21 PM Love the new picture!
JohnH_in_OKC 09-08-2014, 10:31 PM Thanks, Pete. Your work on this board contributes much to our knowledge & our advocacy for a better OKC.

I'm more concerned that the photo is crooked lol.

venture 10-17-2014, 10:12 AM Just noticed when people post a poll, the background of the poll is exceptionally dark that makes it very difficult to read. Example: http://www.okctalk.com/current-events-open-topic/39278-apple-vs-android.html

Nebraska Singles on OKC Talk? Interesting.
BlackmoreRulz 10-31-2014, 05:55 PM site is acting strange in Firefox, anyone else experiencing this?
BlackmoreRulz 10-31-2014, 06:25 PM sorry, firefox was trying to update....wasn't paying attention.
mmonroe 11-28-2014, 12:36 PM Just a few minor issues i've found with OKCtalk, really simple to fix.
First is missing characters from breadcrumb navigation at the top of the page.
9570
I'm not sure if the problem is with the linking to the style sheets or if the owner of the icon font used by OT has changed some files names/locations or is just simply missing those files that the style sheets are linking to.
Second, the splash background is off center with larger screen resolutions.
9573
The background image for the div.splash should be set to 'center center' instead of 'left center' to fix this.
Third is scrolling and layer issues.
9571
Further scrolling hides the entire navigation bar at the top.
9572
div.navbar needs to have a z-index of 6 instead of 1 so that when the waypoints js is called it is above the articles tabs and scrolling portions of thread content.
