We have a specific earthquake page for Oklahoma but I am starting this thread for significant earthquake activity, elsewhere.

The Napa Earthquake was deemed a 6.1 and apparently was on a fault like that has been dormant for well over a million years. Friend of mine lives in Sonoma, 9 miles from the epicenter. She and her husband are out of town this weekend and the 70 year old neighbor watching their house says it is a wreck and she can't "remember" if she unplugged anything, including the big screen that got thrown across the room. My friend is freaked out because she has no idea what damage occurred and is worried about electrical fires.

I have a friend who farms out that way. Her water-storage tanks shifted, breaking the pipes and sending all her water down the creek.

Interesting that it ruptured for the first time in a million years. Who says the same thing can't happen along the faults here in OK........maybe its not water injection.

Mug, the tanks are not a million years old!
