Just the facts 08-12-2014, 05:44 PM Dup post Just the facts 08-12-2014, 05:46 PM Here is the biggest moron on the planet right now. Cowherd Blames NASCAR's 'Eye-for-an-Eye' Southern Culture For Driver's Death | Truth Revolt (http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/cowherd-blames-nascars-southern-eye-eye-culture-drivers-death) Hey Colin, the incident occured in New York, was not a NASCAR event, and 'eye for an eye' means the punishment should fit the crime. I listen to this ass-clown maybe 1 time a month so he probably won't notice or care when I drop it to 0. Btw Urbanized - Cowherd does think Stewart killed him on purpose. Urbanized 08-12-2014, 06:00 PM Well, that's just dumb. bluedogok 08-12-2014, 09:43 PM Cowturd is from the PNW and thinks Las Vegas is the best place on earth, you kind of have to question his mind after that. He knows so little about any form of racing he just sounds like an idiot when trying to carry the Nascar water pail for ESPN. He doesn't get it and he never will. Plus he willingly admits he just likes to say outlandish things to stir things up for ratings. traxx 08-18-2014, 12:52 PM You don't see this inbred fighting at every other European race event either. There are some very serious problems within that community that they need to address. Yeah, because you never see any inbred fighting in Europe at sporting events. **rolls eyes** Guess you forgot about all those soccer brawls that regularly end in death. ylouder 08-18-2014, 04:52 PM I guess American nascar and european football fans have a few things in common. Always drunk, missing teeth, body odor, and looking for a fight? Laramie 08-18-2014, 05:04 PM I guess American nascar and european football fans have a few things in common. Always drunk, missing teeth, body odor, and looking for a fight? That description fits more than just American NASCAR & European football fans... http://www.thunderfans.com/vforum/images/smilies/okc.gif "Oklahoma City looks oh-so pretty... ...as I get my kicks on Route 66." --Nat King Cole.http://www.thunderfans.com/vforum/images/smilies/okc.gif Of Sound Mind 08-18-2014, 05:50 PM That description fits more than just American NASCAR & European football fans... http://www.thunderfans.com/vforum/images/smilies/okc.gif "Oklahoma City looks oh-so pretty... ...as I get my kicks on Route 66." --Nat King Cole.http://www.thunderfans.com/vforum/images/smilies/okc.gif Seems it may apply to the one making these characterizations... methinks he doth protest too much. ylouder 08-18-2014, 06:39 PM Back on subject - what I originally posted has been covered numerous times in the media and by different columnist. There has been numerous people in the industry point out that the current fan base is pushing these types of feuds and that they do have a serious outcome. As I've said before their community needs to address this inbred culture and make changes. BBatesokc 08-19-2014, 08:30 AM Who's going to address your ignorance and bigotry? Fortunately it's so apparent and over the top it addresses itself. rezman 09-25-2014, 08:27 AM I see that Tony Stewart was cleared of criminal charges in the death of Kevin Ward. Now the family is going to go after Stewart on civil charges. ... for crying out loud. Bill Robertson 09-25-2014, 09:19 AM I see that Tony Stewart was cleared of criminal charges in the death of Kevin Ward. Now the family is going to go after Stewart on civil charges. ... for crying out loud.I had no doubt that the family would go after Stewart. Hopefully that action will end with the same result. Urbanized 09-25-2014, 09:40 AM Honestly, nobody will ever know the truth about that night other than Tony Stewart. Charging him or finding against him would be a big stretch, especially since Ward inserted himself into the dangerous situation. That said, based on his history I think there is a really excellent chance Stewart was trying to intimidate and things quickly went awry. He'll have to live with that if so. BBatesokc 09-25-2014, 09:50 AM The family stands a much better chance in civil court than they did in criminal court. I can live with no criminal liability, but I do think he shared in civil liability. Do I think he meant to kill him? No. Do I think he intentionally tried to use his car in an intimidating way that resulted in a fatal accident? Probably enough to award damages. Urbanized 09-25-2014, 09:57 AM The only problem I have with the civil case is that you'll probably never be able to prove those intentions, short of an admission by Stewart. You might as well flip a coin. And no matter which way it lands there is an excellent chance you'd be wrong. You might as well flip a coin. And no matter which way it lands there is an excellent chance you'd be wrong. That's how many (if not most) civil cases conclude. Often its one person's word against another's and either a judge or a jury has to decide who is more credible and what was most likely the truth. If there was definitive proof then there wouldn't be a need for a trial in most cases. Bill Robertson 09-25-2014, 11:04 AM From USA Today - "Toxicology reports revealed Kevin Ward Jr., was under the influence of marijuana on the night he was struck and killed by a sprint car driven by Tony Stewart, Ontario County (N.Y.) District Attorney Michael Tantillo said Wednesday. At a news conference to announce that a grand jury had declined to indict Stewart in Ward's death, Tantillo said the level of marijuana in Ward's system was high enough to impair judgment." If I were on a civil case jury this would weigh heavily for me. Driving a sprint car under the influence of anything would be very, very stupid. bluedogok 09-25-2014, 09:54 PM I read one story that Ward was a known hot head who had done the same thing before and was warned by the track and sanctioning body not to get out of his car and "confront" other drivers. Not sure if that is accurate or not (hard to tell on some sites whether they are dealing in opinion or fact) but if that is accurate along with the toxicology results would not bode well for a civil trial....of course grieving parents don't always make the best choices when it comes to legal issues and lawyers pushing for a pay day. kelroy55 09-26-2014, 08:15 AM I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to race around a track if I was stoned nor would I be able to confront another driver. I would however be able to find the drive through at Taco Bell. |
