They are interviewing Billy Joe Shaver on NPR.
He is the best all-around Country-Western singer-songwriter in history.
Even Tom T. Hall appreciated his genius. Probably Kris Kristofferson does too.
I know that Waylon Jennings did. (even if WJ wasn't in the same league song-writing wise).

He's probably one reason I like John Fullbright so much. =)

Here's a few samples . . . (fer yer consideration) =)

This just in:
Apparently Bro. Shaver is a couple of steps closer to being a diamond someday:

Exclusive: ?Chess and Checkers? from Billy Joe Shaver?s New Album - Speakeasy - WSJ (http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2014/07/31/exclusive-chess-and-checkers-from-billy-joe-shavers-new-album/)

You have to scroll down a little past the text to listen to the lyrics via an audio clip.
Using a mouse or a fingertip or whatever . . .
Yet it's worth the effort. For the words.
Even if it is the Wall Street Journal. =)

(Dang . . . Now they're talking to Maria Bramford, commedianne . . . gotta run . . . =)
