Seriously good thing we have Durant and Westbrook and a good team because our logo and overall branding sucks. They should lose the Orange and stick with mostly blue and white. I like the OKC that's featured in the arena that is just white. Very simple and I agree we need an OKC alternate, maybe a yellow one?
The OU fans are SOOOO butthurt over orange being in there..lol.. get over it.. its NBA and has nothing to do with OU or OSU..

Meh. Makes for a good story, but I don't think that's entirely accurate. One of my favorite Thunder shirts is an orange KD number shirt. I'm even wearing it in most of my social media profile pics.
I bought it to stand out against Mavs fans when attending a playoff game in Dallas a couple of years ago:

The problem isn't having orange, it's having like 6 colors. Again, we're used to it, but you could make the case the Thunder are among the worst teams in all of professional sports by name (generic), uniforms (generic & too many colors), color scheme (too many), alternate uniforms (don't connect with franchise identity, colors at all), logos (off-centered & cluttered), and all these things are even worse for the D-League affiliate (Blue logo is the worst I've ever seen for a professional team). And this isn't just me saying this, guys like Zach Lowe (the best NBA writer there is) has consistently ranked the Thunder near the bottom in many of these categories. The Thunder clearly need to fire someone and hire someone else who is in charge of this stuff.
If we didn't have such success and international stars like KD and Russ I wonder whether the organization would be viewed as a minor league franchise with a major league team. In the end, it's just marketing and jerseys and stuff so I'm not going to worry about it much. However, OKC's most marketable asset is being marketed very poorly in many ways.
(I want to point out that the Thunder have done a great job in many non-visual aspects of the franchise from management (Presti), fan outreach, etc. The organization isn't bad, just the designs. Oh, and they did a good job with Rumble. He's a good mascot.)

I blame the small time frame to get something out the door. Pretty sure why they went the safe route. The wizards had the worst branding and they turned into some of the best uniforms in any sport (granted they had the bullets scheme to fall back on)
If I had to make a guess, when/if the thunder move to a new arena they will rebrand the color scheme and logos.

Umm waaat? When did I ever say it had anything to do with OU or OSU? Like someone else said it's an issue of having so many different colors. No need to troll.

Good point!
Maybe the future will hold a better logo and brand for both franchises. The situation with the Oklahoma City Blue mirrors that of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Professional Basketball Club, LLC of OKC businessmen (Clay Bennett, Chair) had to vacate Seattle with haste. If I recall, they had very little time (off season Aug-Oct) following the trial to put things together for the team's debut in OKC.
"We made it," Bennett said at his news conference in Oklahoma City. "Congratulations."
