For those who remember this very popular novelty song from the 60's this is very sad news. Although he was really only known here for this song, he evidently had a very successful and lengthy career in England and Australia which will end in disgrace if he is still alive (he is 84) after his prison sentence.

I definitely remember the song, Sport. But doubt I will ever remember him or his name.

And to think that so many people were offended by tying kangaroos down in connection with sport and letting abos go loose . . .
And none of the so offended (back around '63 or whenever) could connect the dots . . .
