catch22 07-23-2014, 01:13 PM Are time-lapsed copies being saved of this webcam? UnFrSaKn 07-23-2014, 01:41 PM Another blue ramp gone. OKCisOK4me 07-23-2014, 02:02 PM Another blue ramp gone. YAY! One step closer to ball-n-chain action. That's not negativity, that's progress! Pete 07-24-2014, 10:24 AM They are really getting busy now. OKCisOK4me 07-24-2014, 11:55 AM Yep tearing it up.... Mel 07-24-2014, 12:43 PM Poor Stage center, it's been the "Meg" of OKC for awhile. shawnw 07-24-2014, 12:43 PM Missed opportunity for sci-fi movie explosions... OKCisOK4me 07-24-2014, 12:44 PM "Meg"? Mel 07-24-2014, 12:49 PM It's a Family Guy reference. OKCisOK4me 07-24-2014, 12:51 PM http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/25/uqumu5aj.jpg One of my favorites lolol Dustin 07-24-2014, 12:58 PM One of my favorites lolol Shut up Meg Mel 07-24-2014, 12:59 PM They treat that poor girl pretty rough on that show. kevinpate 07-24-2014, 01:48 PM They treat everybody pretty rough on that show. MadMonk 07-24-2014, 02:28 PM Yeah, now that it's back up the caching headers are "Cache-Control: public, max-age=604800" and "Expires: Tue, 29 Jul 2014 15:55:56 GMT" which put together mean whatever is served up is going to last for 7 days in the browser cache (max-age is in seconds, and expires is 7 days out from my page refresh). Something like "Cache-Control: private, max-age=0, no-cache" and an Expires equal to the timestamp the image is served should give us a current image just from loading the thread without a refresh. It would need to be set just on the pete/webcam directory though, you wouldn't want to disable caching for any of the other site images. /web developer hat off A quick Ctrl+F5 will refresh the page and image regardless of the cache settings. /get-er-done trucker hat off With the blue and orange ramps gone, it no longer looks like someone dropped shipping containers on that location and left them where they lay. MadMonk 07-24-2014, 02:32 PM It would be cool if we could have an image of how it used to look to compare/contrast with . Something like one of these maybe. http://cdn2.newsok.biz/cache/r960-88f61d9ba0bc029148a4e9bbfdd4bd95.jpg http://kwtv.images.worldnow.com/images/24471941_BG1.jpg jn1780 07-24-2014, 03:33 PM Everything that's not concrete is being removed pretty quickly. I wonder if they will use a wrecking ball to clear the "sheds" on top of the building. David 07-24-2014, 03:47 PM A quick Ctrl+F5 will refresh the page and image regardless of the cache settings. /get-er-done trucker hat off I'm confused by this response. What would be better, something you have to do every single time you visit the thread, or a change on the server that fixes it permanently for all future visits for all users? Pete 07-24-2014, 03:52 PM No longer matters. Plug has been pulled on the webcam due to the landlord (not the kind people that were hosting it for us). Have no idea why and not sure I'll ever get an explanation. David 07-24-2014, 04:00 PM Huh, well that's too bad. While I try not to be one for conspiracies, I can't help but wonder about this instance. Too much publicity about the demolition? zookeeper 07-24-2014, 04:57 PM How can any landlord tell a tenant that they can't take pictures or video outside their windows? It doesn't take a conspiracy to figure this one out. Shutting it down - and why - is a story in itself. MadMonk 07-24-2014, 06:13 PM I'm confused by this response. What would be better, something you have to do every single time you visit the thread, or a change on the server that fixes it permanently for all future visits for all users? No need for confusion or defensiveness. It was just a practical alternative way for everyone to get a fresh image (Unless you want to wait the seven days for your cache to refresh). Sadly, it's a moot point now. catch22 07-24-2014, 06:21 PM Especially telling a lawyer :D MadMonk 07-24-2014, 06:46 PM I've got torches, who can bring pitchforks? Pete, just tell us where to show up! It will be an especially lively OKCTalk meetup. Pete 07-24-2014, 07:47 PM How can any landlord tell a tenant that they can't take pictures or video outside their windows? It doesn't take a conspiracy to figure this one out. Shutting it down - and why - is a story in itself. Can't make them take it down but strongly asked and why would a tenant want to fight with their landlord over something that is not even theirs? However, the reason for this is something I hope to find out. kevinpate 07-24-2014, 08:41 PM Some things seem self-evident. But then, I have a sometimes too active imagination. SoonerDave 07-24-2014, 08:41 PM Can't make them take it down but strongly asked and why would a tenant want to fight with their landlord over something that is not even theirs? However, the reason for this is something I hope to find out. This. Stinks. No reason for a landlord to get his knickers in a twist about it. OKCisOK4me 07-24-2014, 10:33 PM This. Stinks. No reason for a landlord to get his knickers in a twist about it. He's probably a hamster fan like Larry... mkjeeves 07-25-2014, 08:09 AM He's probably not looking forward to the day when the cameras point to the destruction of the Hotel Black building. I wonder if that camera will be situated on the parking garage we're getting across the street south? Right in front of 1 N. Hudson used to be my favorite night parking spot but I haven't tried to use it in quite awhile. Dennis Heaton 07-25-2014, 11:40 AM Are time-lapsed copies being saved of this webcam? I am saving copies of the pics...just so I can pass it on to my great-great-great-great- grandchildren. :) catch22 07-25-2014, 12:34 PM I am saving copies of the pics...just so I can pass it on to me great-great-great-great- grandchildren. :) Well, it is no longer updating. So... Just the facts 07-25-2014, 12:40 PM No longer matters. Plug has been pulled on the webcam due to the landlord (not the kind people that were hosting it for us). Have no idea why and not sure I'll ever get an explanation. Friends of RW maybe? kevinpate 07-25-2014, 01:02 PM bottom line ... it can be hard to keep selling sausage to folk if you let them hang around the factory long enough to see how it's made. I made my peace with SC going away a while back. But, I can see how someone could fret over someone else gathering up a time lapse version of the demo and using it against certain interests later on. Face it, some folk fret over just about anything. Dennis Heaton 07-25-2014, 01:15 PM Looks like I shoulda been reading the comments instead of just copying the pics. PETE...disregard my question on Facebook...now that I know the answer. BUMMER!!! Dennis Heaton 07-25-2014, 04:46 PM KFOR has a link to this page on their page. Maybe you should contact KFOR and ask them to interview the "landlord." http://kfor.com/2014/07/23/okc-stage-center-demolition-site-live-webcam/ bombermwc 07-29-2014, 08:12 AM Am i the only one that still sees the camera active? Anonymous. 07-29-2014, 08:28 AM I think it is frozen on the last active frame... From several days ago. OKCisOK4me 07-29-2014, 10:19 AM Pete said the landlord suspended use of the live cam so all you're seeing is the last shot. FritterGirl 07-29-2014, 01:05 PM Lots of crane / wrecking ball action today. SE section is pretty close to being completely torn down. No doubt the folks in the McAlpine building are getting a good shot. And it's noisy. OKCisOK4me 07-29-2014, 01:07 PM Sweet OklahomaNick 08-05-2014, 11:21 AM Pic from a friend who works at Devon.
