I didn't notice it too much but there was a slight haze in the air yesterday and I figured it was just heat and DFW pollution but watching the weather last night, Rick Mitchel, he said it was from sand in the Saraha that gets picked up by the jet stream. He said it happens a couple times a year. I thought that was kind of cool.

Yea maybe... But I feel like this 'haze' is no difference than when we have had multiple days of 90F+ with dews in the mid 70s... Like we do currently.

My niece out in the Panhandle posted on FB that there was a LOT of dust blowing around. Not sure that's particularly attributable to the Sahara.

I was grateful for the haze yesterday afternoon as I was mowing my yard. It reduced the blazing heat from the direct sunlight a lot.

I believe PlanOKC had an article that depicted if OKC kept sprawling out at uncontrollable and rapid growth air pollution and smog could increase by 450% or something like that over the next decade or two... can anyone confirm? I can't find the article that had that or remember the exact statistics, but I am sure it was mentioned somewhere.

This sounds like the claim Ted Danson tried to pass as truth 20 years ago that the Amazon jungles would be gone today

Like I said, I honestly can't remember the figure exactly. It might even be 125%..... not really sure.. I'll try and dig up the article
