When we drove by last week, a sign said "Now Open". Too early I suppose?

Really?

I guess I'm wrong. I'll go by there soon.

yes it was, my wife (from China) LOVED fuse as many of the Chinese offerings were very very authentic. ...

Can't wait to try the 'new' version in our visit to the city next year.

Their Chinese food was the best I've had in town. I loved going their for Chinese, unfortunately I ended up eat too much other stuff too.

That's good to hear. I know I enjoyed their pig's feet, which were in a sauce I know as a "Chinese barbeque" type dressing that you usually see on spare ribs. Loved the flavor and texture. And everything else, save maybe the steak, was on point. As mentioned, it was a disaster when I eat there, because I would sample three-quarters of the buffet and have maybe seven pieces of cake with gelato after that.

Drove by Thursday night. Sign said "OPEN" and the lot was full.

Correct, based on Google Review, they seems quietly opened last week and most reviews said it is nearly identical with Fuze.

I stopped by yesterday. I had not been in previously but it sure looks like they just reopened with no change.

The signage is the same apart from doormats that say Feast. The woman at the front counter said they will gradually be changing everything over to the Feast name.

Any word on the one on North Penn if that has reopened under the same name as Feast?

I'm going to say it won't happen. Fuze didn't reopen under a different name, it was sold to a different owner, who opened his own restaurant with his own name. While I could be wrong, I think the Penn location was bought by someone else.

Edit to add: Actually, I should phrase that as "Hasn't been bought yet", as I believe the Penn location...well, hasn't been bought yet.

And, confirmed by Pete. B-)

The North Penn location is still for sale.

The NW Expressway fuse was sold at a sheriff's sale. I strongly suspect that Mr. Bing is involved in this, as it seems to have picked up right where it left off. At 1:30 on a Saturday with a lot of people not even realizing the place was back in business, they were almost at capacity.

The N. Penn location may just be too expensive for them to buy and operate; or they may be waiting until they accumulate more cash before taking that one on. However, the fact they reopened here first and the original operators still face big legal challenges and possible multi-million judgment tells me they won't be taking on the other location.

I have to say, I'm a bit confused because as you note, it seems to be mostly the same, right down to the signage. With the admission that they're going to change the name gradually, that gives me the impression that they intend to use the profits from being open to pay for the new paint and signs. If the old owner is trying to play some strange shell game, he has to know that's not going to work. If it's 100% new owners, they have to know it would have been better to wait a week and do more than change the welcome mats and some of the dishes. A lot of people have the impression that Fuze reopened, is the new owner just trying to bank on the previous name, or is the old owner up to his same old tricks?

Oh good lord. From one criminal to another. I guess as long as this one actually pays his bills, we're good.

Is there any legal obligation to change the signage? Otherwise i feel like they’d just capitalize off of the prior branding and just leave it alone. At least until they’ve been open a while and regain the prior customer base.

The pending lawsuit claims that Bing Lu and his associates embezzled millions, so if he is involved with Feast, he has to at least give the appearance of separate ownership to protect his earnings if there are judgments against him.

I wouldn't be surprised if the only change is the legal name and the doormats.

More interesting info...calling the old phone number for Fuze results in the call being answered by someone at Feast. An unrelated party getting the old phone number would be a minor miracle, the more likely explanation is the number was held in service in the meantime. It's getting harder and harder for me to believe this is a new and separate business.

good to know it has reopened and is pretty much the same as before. As was said, hopefully they pay their bills and taxes this time regardless of the ownership. My wife will be thrilled on our next visit to the city - we shall definitely partake; Fuse is definitely an OKC-destination in our books.

Funny note, the house she bought is not too far away - just goes to show how much she really likes Fuze. lol

I'm torn. I really liked Fuze, but I don't really want to give my money to a band of criminals that couldn't be bothered to pay their employees.

Man, Louis is usually pretty easy to please (too easy, sometimes seems like he'll eat anything), but this is harsh:

I drove by 15th and Sooner Rd and saw a sign up for a new Feast Buffet today, and Japanese Steak house next door to it.

Apparently, the old Penn location is going to be a Lago International Buffet. Haven't heard of them. When I searched them, a closed down buffet in Vegas came up.

My mom went here with her sisters the other day and said it was awful. I guess things have really gone downhill. She said the only saving grace were the desserts.
