SE corner of NW10th & Cornwell in Yukon. sgt. pepper 06-24-2014, 01:07 PM Does any other OnCue have a drive thru? This is out of my way but I like, may have to create a new way home. Robert_M 06-24-2014, 03:07 PM The one in Norman at Flood and Techumseh has a drive through. I think it is for limited items though I don't have any personal experience. Dubya61 06-24-2014, 03:46 PM The OnCue by the NE corner of TAFB has a drive-through. Bullbear 06-24-2014, 04:03 PM I think Most have a drive through.. the one on expressway has one. the one on 39th and rockwell has one. not sure of other locations. its a nice feature for grabbing coffee in the morning Zuplar 06-26-2014, 09:58 PM I was confused by this reading the first post, but this is right there off of Czech Hall, I guess they are going to build around the tanks or whatever those are that are there? It's interesting to see OKC continuing to get the business over there next to Yukon, and pull tax dollars for the City. whatitis 06-27-2014, 09:42 AM I was confused by this reading the first post, but this is right there off of Czech Hall, I guess they are going to build around the tanks or whatever those are that are there? It's interesting to see OKC continuing to get the business over there next to Yukon, and pull tax dollars for the City. I was confused too thinking they just put the wrong side but looking at the map it is SE. There are 2 Oil Tank sites in that location. I don't know what the plan is with that. Zuplar 06-27-2014, 11:55 AM Looks like they are just going to build around it according to what I interupt from the plans. kwhey 07-02-2014, 09:21 AM I was confused by this reading the first post, but this is right there off of Czech Hall, I guess they are going to build around the tanks or whatever those are that are there? You go north from 10th it is Cornwell, you go south it is Czech Hall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk erasmusred 07-29-2014, 10:06 PM New OnCue going to the OKC planning commission this week. SE corner of NW10th & Cornwell in Yukon. Any update on this? whatitis 07-31-2014, 03:36 PM I live less than a mile from here. I have seen zero work being done on it. catch22 07-31-2014, 03:38 PM If the OKC planning commission is overseeing it, it's not in Yukon. Zuplar 07-31-2014, 04:54 PM Yeah it's not in Yukon, but most likely a Yukon address, which for some people means it's in Yukon. whatitis 08-01-2014, 04:05 PM NW10th is the dividing line. South of NW 10th is OKC and North of it is Yukon. It's on the SE corner of NW 10th. It'll probably have a Yukon address but it's really OKC(just like me. I live just south of NW10th and Mustang rd. My water and trash are OKC but my address is listed as Yukon) Zuplar 08-01-2014, 04:11 PM NW10th is the dividing line. South of NW 10th is OKC and North of it is Yukon. Jersey Boss 08-01-2014, 07:07 PM I bet that the population in general assumes a mailing address is where something is located. It is not a big jump at all. Zuplar 08-01-2014, 08:51 PM I bet that the population in general assumes a mailing address is where something is located. It is not a big jump at all. That's kind of my point. Most people in that area say either they are from Mustang or Yukon. What really bugs me are people like friends of mine that live at Czech hall and 15th and have a Yukon address, OKC city limits and Mustang schools, and when asked they say they live in Mustang simply because that is the school their kids go to and there is such a rivalry between Mustang/Yukon. I've been in the area about 15 years and although I now live on the East side of Mustang, I actually have an OKC address and limits, so it's easier to explain. But once you get past pretty much County Line, one mile west of me, everyone considers themselves Mustang or Yukon even though most are OKC. I've always thought this was kind of odd. My grandparents live West of Mustang almost to Richland road, and although everyone on that side tends to have Mustang addresses they are OKC limits. Actually for what it's worth everyone in my family has a Mustang address but only my parents are truly within the Mustang city limits. All of them say they live in Mustang and although I'm only 6 miles down the road, act like I live in a different part of the city simply because I have an OKC address. There is quite the stigma with living OKC I've noticed over the years. I myself didn't know that the area between Mustang Yukon was OKC until I was a freshman in school. Growing up I was led to believe living in OKC meant you would get knifed immediately so I think that's why so many people prefer to say they live in Mustang or Yukon. For the longest time it was hard to understand OKC had any suburban neighborhoods. I was also someone who who thought the area West of Moore was just that, West Moore and not South OKC. Still today when I tell people I live on the Southwest side of the airport people have a hard time believing that's OKC. I normally get that's Mustang right? No, Newcastle? No, Moore? Close Moore schools, but OKC. FWIW my grandma still tells people I live in Moore because telling people I live in Southwest OKC sounds like I live in the hood. Sorry for getting off topic somewhat, just always thought it was an interesting perspective. Mel 08-01-2014, 09:27 PM And when someone asks where you live what do you tell them? You just say none of yer bizness pilgrim. kwhey 08-02-2014, 01:04 AM I live at S.W. 15th and Mustang Rd and I have a Yukon address so I just say I live in Yukon (yes I know it is 2 miles to the north but saves explanation) Pete 08-23-2014, 12:22 PM Here are the detailed plans: http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/oncueczech1.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/oncueczech2.jpg erasmusred 08-23-2014, 01:45 PM Forgive me if this is evident and I'm missing it, but is this location slated to include a drive-thru? Pete 08-25-2014, 08:30 AM Forgive me if this is evident and I'm missing it, but is this location slated to include a drive-thru? Looks like there is a drive-thru lane along the back (south side) of the building. JesStang 08-25-2014, 02:12 PM Someone let them know there is a huge need for E85 in this area!! I've tried contacting them before to no avail. Zuplar 08-25-2014, 04:14 PM Why would anyone choose to put ethanol in their vehicle. All it does it dilute the gas and decrease power and fuel mileage. I always fill up with 100% gas unless it's just not feasible. stick47 08-26-2014, 06:38 AM Why would anyone choose to put ethanol in their vehicle. All it does it dilute the gas and decrease power and fuel mileage. I always fill up with 100% gas unless it's just not feasible. E85 burns slower so you can run much higher compression (boost). Equivalent to 105 octane at half the cost of race gas. Plus it's safer and cheaper than the old school trick of pouring in 3-4 gallons of xylene into a tank of gas. Plus it's safer and cheaper than the old school trick of pouring in 3-4 gallons of xylene into a tank of gas. I'm going to bet that the people that need 105 octane are going to be going to the VP gas station and not looking around for E85. stick47 08-26-2014, 08:27 AM E85 is much cheaper Zuplar Robert_M 08-26-2014, 08:43 AM The Oncue in Norman has E85 gas. Was more then their standard blend the one time I was there and looked at the prices however this is about the only place I have seen it so I don't know if that is typical. Zuplar 08-26-2014, 01:15 PM E85 is much cheaper Zuplar I don't care if it's a $1 a gallon, people with high compression or boosted motors are most likely racing their car, and aren't running E85. People around here really haven't drank the ethanol Kool-Aid that's the reason why there is still market for 100% gas. stick47 08-26-2014, 01:22 PM Well I never ran E85 but a tuner shop locally made 715 HP out of a 2 liter motor on E85. My personal cocktail choice was alcohol injection. JesStang 08-26-2014, 01:35 PM E85 burns slower so you can run much higher compression (boost). Equivalent to 105 octane at half the cost of race gas. Plus it's safer and cheaper than the old school trick of pouring in 3-4 gallons of xylene into a tank of gas. Exactly. It's not for stock cars and it's not for racecars; somewhere in the middle that are tuned for it. It's high compression without the high price tag. I know a ton of people who have to drive to RS Fuels for (consistent) E85. bs2007 01-13-2015, 04:24 PM Anything new on this?? Paule4ou 01-14-2015, 11:04 AM My source within OnCue in Stillwater danced around the subject yesterday when I asked. I think they are still planning on it but maybe not as fast as originally planned. The lot was staked last fall but have since been removed. Perhaps they are waiting for the two major developments just east and west of the proposed location to get underway first before proceeding. kwhey 01-23-2015, 09:19 PM My guess is they aren't doing it now. Pete 01-24-2015, 09:24 AM It could be that they just moved the location further down on the list. They have a ton of new ones in the pipeline: http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/oncuelocations.jpg Zuplar 01-24-2015, 11:57 AM I guarantee at some point it's going to happen. That area is too busy and only going to continue to get busier, especially if they do the development over off of Czech Hall that circulated a little while ago. RealEstateCop1 01-25-2015, 11:03 AM That;s Awesome! Paule4ou 08-19-2015, 07:14 AM Here are the detailed plans: http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/oncueczech1.jpg http://www.okctalk.com/images/pete/oncueczech2.jpg Looks like they broke ground on this yesterday.... Zuplar 08-19-2015, 08:14 AM Finally. I think it's crazy this one was announced so long ago, and they've built several more they announced after this one. Heck the Mustang one is shaping up and will be done in the next couple months I'd guess. kwhey 08-26-2015, 12:39 AM Yep, they are finally turning dirt. Zuplar 08-26-2015, 08:38 AM Not that this is much news, I saw this in Mustang's paper today talking about the one near Yukon. It does mention size though. http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii122/zuplar/OnCue%20near%20Yukon_zpsfkm5hbzt.jpg (http://s263.photobucket.com/user/zuplar/media/OnCue%20near%20Yukon_zpsfkm5hbzt.jpg.html) Merman 11-15-2015, 07:43 PM I don't care if it's a $1 a gallon, people with high compression or boosted motors are most likely racing their car, and aren't running E85. People around here really haven't drank the ethanol Kool-Aid that's the reason why there is still market for 100% gas. Most new cars that are flex fuel cars are able to run e85. My truck is tuned for e85 and is boosted. I know there's a demand for this option. Zuplar 11-15-2015, 07:48 PM Most new cars that are flex fuel cars are able to run e85. My truck is tuned for e85 and is boosted. I know there's a demand for this option. I think you may have missed the point of my post. My truck takes e85 and is a flex fuel truck, but when that's ran the fuel mileage drops and HP drastically reduced. So I run 100% gas so I can get the full power of my truck when pulling a boat. I'm not saying there isn't a demand, I just don't think it's all that great around here like clear gas is. stick47 11-15-2015, 07:56 PM I think the thing with E85 is that since it burns slower it allows more compression without knock. In a boosted motor you can increase the boost and enable a big gain in power. If your motor is non aspirated use straight gas. In my Turbo Buick I made an alcohol injection system that kicked on at 15psi & allowed running 24 lbs of boost on 93 octane and the alcohol nozzle as a supplement to curb knock. whatitis 02-25-2016, 02:58 PM Looks like this place is turning the corner. There's still a decent amount left but they might be able to knock it all out by 4/1 Zuplar 03-23-2016, 09:23 AM Another article about the OnCue coming near Yukon. 12396 whatitis 03-23-2016, 10:34 AM All the pumps are installed and it looks like all the concrete is done. The lights were on last night. It looks like they just need to stock the store and tidy up and they'll be done. 4/1 still looks possible but maybe a week or 2 into April. whatitis 05-05-2016, 10:50 AM I drive by this just about everyday and I'm amazed it's still not open. They have cones up blocking people from getting in. There's been sod laid down. All the pumps are in. All the lights are installed. I've seen food trucks like pepsi, frito lay and the like for 3 weeks now. I have no clue what they are doing and why they are taking so long. It looked done on 4/1 Pete 05-05-2016, 12:04 PM I suspect they just have so many stores under development they don't have the resources to get to all of them as quickly as they'd like. They have tons of locations in various stages of completion. Paule4ou 05-05-2016, 08:15 PM The location opens next Monday. Pete 05-15-2016, 11:12 AM They are now open, complete with a dog park: https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13179043_1189955414372068_3139719135313669646_n.jp g?oh=d77a1d84e03e539913a982d58a2cc211&oe=579C58E7 |
