Uncle Julios
Founded in Dallas in 1986 and now with 21 locations in Texas and adjoining states, the popular Uncle Julio's will be taking a spot on the west side of the proposed lake, just off Memorial Road.

Uncle Julio's promotes the use of fresh ingredients made from scratch and are well-known for originating The Swirl, a frozen margarita layered with sangria.

The restaurant will feature a large bar and an expansive patio overlooking the lake.

Midici
Midici Neopolitan Pizza was founded in Los Angeles and will be operated by a local franchisee.

The chain will build a new structure directly east of the Tract 30 development that already includes Republic, Fuzzy's Tacos, Yokozuma and Sidecar, among others.

The concept involves ordering an authentic pizza at the counter then having it cooked in about 90 seconds in 900-degree wood-fired ovens.

Unlike most fast casual concepts, Midici tends to draw large crowds for dinner and their interiors are high-end.

Other offerings include gourmet salads, espresso, wine and craft beers and gelato and other desserts.

They should woo a corporate tenant, such as MidFirst... that would be an amazing anchor for one of the corners of this project. One of the parking lots between the hotel and turnpike would be an amazing site for a medium-sized new HQ. Something like the new American Greetings in Cleveland's Crocker Park project.

I've looked up Scissors and Scotch online because I may give this a try when it opens. Does anyone know if you can just go in for a haircut or a shave or do you have to have a membership? Also, do they use barbers or just hairstylists? I know The Boardroom has the same kind of old barber feel but I've heard from another barber in town that they only have one real barber there. The rest are just stylist like you would find at Supercuts or Great Clips.

I am a big fan of the Sriracha Bacon Jerkey, and the Maple Bacon Jerkey

I did a beef jerky of the month deal for my dad last father's day from them and was able to try each flavor he recieived, and they were all great. We stuck with just beef, but they have all sorts of options. I need to go by again.

I need to try it again as it's been a little while, but the I don't remember it being abnormally chewy. One month was biltong, which is a African style of jerky. If I remember right, this is a little softer than traditional jerky.

The guy in the store told me they have the rougher jerky that you really have to work, which is what I purchased, but he also mentioned that they have the thicker softer jerky available (similar to Old Trapper). I'll be going back for sure.

PluPlan, if I were you, I'd just go to the store. The wall art behind the sales counter depicts the massive selection of flavors they have available. I've only tried just one so far.

Provision Concepts must have sat on some eggs this Winter & Spring, because they are “Hatch”ing a second location of their well-known breakfast spot in Chisholm Creek later this year! They will be making North OKC & Edmond tummies happy, because often they exceed capacity almost every weekend. “Our second store should make the community happy, because the demand at our flagship store in Auto Alley has been so strong,” General Manager Beth Simpson said. “Now we will be able to serve twice as many guests if not a little more!”

Co-Founders of Provision Concepts, Aaron Soward and Jeff Dixon, said they are leasing 3600 sq ft in Tract 30, with the ability to add up to 2000 sq ft of mezzanine space, plus a 600 sq ft patio. “I’ve had so many people thank me for putting a Hatch in Chisholm Creek,” Dixon said chuckling. “This North store will grant many, that simply won’t drive down to Auto Alley on the weekends, closer access to their favorite breakfast spot in the Metro. I've said this and I'll say it again, it's nice seeing these places be successful, but I hope not every downtown restaurant goes cookie cutter into the burbs. It's kind of cool driving to a special location without feeling guilty going out of the way to the downtown one although I'll do that with the Garage even though their first location wasn't in downtown.

Tract 30 is unique and somewhat bold for OKC and almost all the places that have taken advantage of the multiple levels, rooftops and patios.

For OKC it's bold and I wasn't trying to say this one is cookie cutter even though in many other cities the case for that could be made. There's nothing extraordinarily about Tract 30 and you know that coming from SoCal.

I love Tract 30 and am excited as I believe it is pushing the bar for better retail developments with higher standards even without what the rest of Chisholm Creek will become.

They are moving quite a bit of dirt on the 80-acre park. I haven't seen anything for this. Anyone know of the expected completion date?

Not familiar with Buttermilk Southern Sliders but the name sounds very enticing.

Haven't tried it myself because every time I've seen it The Flying Pig BBQ was parked near it and.... well you guess which one got my attention. ;)

Do you know what the huge plot just east of Freddy's is going to be? They've moved millions of pounds of dirt from there. They have semi trucks being loaded with dirt 8 hours a day and its been going on for over a month.

That property south and east of Freddy's along Penn -- all the way to 122nd -- is owned by BD Eddie who is trying to sell off commercial parcels.

I suspect all the dirt is for infill. The Westgate project for Chisholm Creek required quite a bit of dirt infill as well.

Also the city has a park just a little south of Chisolm Creeek that they have been moving dirt out of. If I remember right their was an article in the Oklahoman months ago that stated they had to remove it from the park for flood control in the area.

The dirt is being taken away and its been dug down probably 20-30 ft. Its directly behind Freddy's on the same road that leads east to Topgolf but it doesn't appear to be going as far south as 122nd and runs into the housing development to the East. I will snap a photo this afternoon.

They may be digging a channel for flood control.

The CC renderings show some sort of creek running right through there.

My wife loves Potbelly. It's her favorite sandwich shop. I've eaten there a couple of times. To me, it's nothing special. It's been a couple months since my last visit and I can't honestly tell you what differentiates it. It's better than Subway. But I think these sandwich chains are a dime and a dozen and I can't believe there are as many of them as there are.

I'm excited about Torchy's Tacos! We at the Richardson TX location this past weekend. Good Stuff!!

Any update on the barber shop going in Tract 30?

I've done a little bit of research on this. I believe I posted about it somewhere on here. I'll try to find it later.

Anyway, it looks like it's going to be pretty similar to The Boardroom. Only one or two actual barbers, the rest are stylists. It's membership based, so unless you're a member, you're probably not likely to get an actual barber. And even then, they probably save their barbers for the members who opted for the higher priced membership.

To me, it seems kinda pricey for basically a Supercuts haircut. I go to Carwin's Shave Shop which is currently in Classen Curve but will be moving to Nichols Hills Plaza in a month or two and will be expanding their barber shop. They have only barbers; no stylists. A haircut is $30. They also have straight razor shaves. They have alcohol too, but I don't know the cost as I've never asked for a drink.
