Some may have noticed that the subforum has a new name. Instead of just "Weather" we are now "Weather & Geosciences". We've touched on this some in various topics and felt compelled to ask Pete to help widen the scope of this section with a modified name. This is to better encompass the non-weather discussions that take place here - such as the Earthquake Discussion and Space Weather. So what all does this include now?

Geosciences includes the discussion of geology, physical geography, geophysics, ecology, hydrology, glaciology, and the atmospheric sciences. Astronomy doesn't really fall into it until one of those objects gets start coming at us, but that will be an exception. :)

It is encouraged to place all discussion here that involves those topics. Keep in mind it doesn't include anything of a political nature and Pete has been pretty stern on that for years. We can easily debate any of the sciences without the need to resort to political propaganda. Let's debate the science with science and not talking points and everyone wins. :)
