All water is going to have contaminants of some sort in it at some point in time. I don't see why it matters whether it is filtered out naturally (through the environment) or by human methods. It is just the stigma that, "We're drinking our toilet water! Oh no!", that bothers people.

For the privilege of having drinking water from a source that is nearly drought proof, but subject to the discharge of treated sewer water from Wichita and other Kansas towns, most Stillwater people are willing to drink it. But less willing to put up with apparent man made earthquakes and the worry over what worse ones it may lead to.

I hope a lot of people will be attending the town hall meeting concerning those earthquakes to be held in north Edmond on June 26th, 7 pm at the Waterloo Rd. Baptist church, not too far from I-35. Since the meeting is being held by Republicans, it may do a better job than the Stillwater meeting of not straying off to side topics, such as the possible threat from oil company caused pollution. Hopefully, there will be more people coming than who attended the Stillwater meeting, which was around 100, held in May.

Clear to you maybe, but you are one of the most clearly biased posters on this site against the energy industry and based on your posts in these energy threads as well as your ridiculous comments about the GE facility, you can't even begin to deny that. I admit that I am obviously biased toward the energy industry but I back that up with my own experience and education on the subject as well as information I get from others that I would consider much more experienced and knowledgable then the geologists quoted in that article.

I will admit to being biased against the energy companies and how they use public money to further their private quest for more profits. Yes, you are right. I admit it.

As for GE, I would give anything to take that post back. It was stupid and I should not have written what I did. It doesn't reflect how I really feel about GE. But, it did that evening. I'm not a heavy drinker at all. But, because of that, I don't handle it well when I do have, well, stronger liquids. I don't mind telling you that I made that post at the wrong time. I had been posting in another thread about giveaways of one sort or another in another thread, and took it out on GE. It was stupid. I wish I had been able to remove it during the "edit time." But I didn't. As I said, I wish I could take it back. With the Internet, everything is forever. Maybe we all learn that at some point and I did with that post. I hope you don't hold that against me forever as I am really not how that post portrays me.

Also in general industry news yesterday fallin signed a bill to start reusing treated sewage water for drinking because of the ongoing drought and increased business useage. Previously treated was was discharged into Canadian river.

Coming soon to your tap at home.

They've been doing this in Dillon Colorado for the past 20 years.
