No supersonic surprise, an owner would be foolish to say that he's going to move the franchise. Haven't we witnessed this as recipients of the Supersonics?
Ballmer took possession of the playbook left by the Oklahoma Raiders (Bennett, McClendon & Company) of the Emerald City. ...
While Ballmer has enough money that I could see him doing it if he wants to, with what happened last year he is going to have to wait a few years to try before the league would even consider it, granted they need time to build a stadium anyway.

That's definitely my bold prediction though. He could even do what Bennett/Presti were accused of doing and jettison all the good players, tank the team and point to the poor support LA is giving them. Meanwhile Chris Hansen is getting a stadium in Seattle built and LA has two teams - do they really need that many? 10 years from now I could totally see that happening. Ballmer gives back to the city of Seattle what he let go for $350 million when the Sonics left. What a legacy!

He might as well just take the good players (unless the team is just due for a restructuring at the time), it would be hard to out tank the Sterling era, which was still well attended.
