Not sure why. streettree 07-19-2017, 10:05 AM I'm really glad to see this go up. Deep Deuce has such an interesting history, it's too bad that not many of the historic structure are still intact. It would also be nice to see something that commemorates the fact that Ralph Ellison was born in this area. Ross MacLochness 07-19-2017, 10:29 AM I went by last night about 9:15 and the sign was not on. Not sure why. Waiting on electricity to be hooked up. Anonymous. 07-19-2017, 11:04 AM I went by last night, too. And after a couple days of looking around it, it appears Ross may be correct, the electric part of it may not be enabled. Probably some type of deal where the city or something has to come do it off the bridge connection. Perhaps this will also re-enable the pedestrian way lights under the bridge which have been inoperable for years. Pete 07-19-2017, 11:11 AM Just learned OG&E has to get out there and set up a meter then the sign company will return for the final hook-up. Urbanized 07-19-2017, 02:08 PM Haha yeah Ross tends to have good sources. Ross MacLochness 07-20-2017, 08:34 AM Haha yeah Ross tends to have good sources. Yep. A lost book I found buried in the banks of the N. Canadian written by Jesus Christ himself. Scott5114 07-20-2017, 02:44 PM Why are the C and last E bigger than the E and U in Deuce? They're the same size as the "capital" Ds. Harbinger 07-20-2017, 06:51 PM Speaking for the last E, the size serves as a balance to the enlarged first D. The first D and the last E serves to sandwich the word mark if you will. As for the C, yeah I kind of have some problems with that. I think its just a characteristic of the c in the font chosen. Anonymous. 09-01-2017, 10:59 AM Still haven't seen the sign illuminated. GoldFire 09-01-2017, 03:26 PM Still haven't seen the sign illuminated. I really like this small development just south of Maywood. 14223 14224 This project that sits between the brownstones is really disappointing. Almost no details. Super plain. As long as other residences are built east of it, it won't really be noticeable. (sorry for the sideways picture, I never understand why that happens once I post on the site) 14225 14226 14227 These new residences are along 3rd and really look great. In my opinion, they contrast well with the other brownstones. 14228 14229 14230 14231 I remember when this little addition went in and it seemed out of place, but you hardly notice it now that another building butts up against it. This is from the back of the building obviously. Pretty rare to have a little yard like this in the core. 14232 (It looks like a couple bonus pictures of the Steelyard and nearby developments are in the thunbnails) shawnw 11-02-2017, 06:20 PM Did those have to get design review? Looks good! Urbanized 01-28-2018, 06:21 PM ^^^^^^^ It’s being painted because there is going to be a public art project installed on this bridge. Just don’t touch the 2007 Hokey Okie train with people waving out of a 19th century steam engine!!!! dankrutka 03-07-2018, 09:51 AM I am sure there’s a plan to address this as they finish up construction, but it’s pretty amazing there’s still no sidewalk connecting Deep Deuce to Bricktown along Russell M. Perry. If you want to walk from your expensive condo in the into Bricktown you just have to walk in the street with cars speeding along. 14504 dankrutka 10-26-2018, 03:29 PM I hadn't heard about this new construction in the middle of Deep Deuce apartments. 14979 Ross MacLochness 10-28-2018, 04:45 PM ^will that be a front facing garage? :Smiley127 Johnb911 01-16-2019, 01:25 PM Haven't seen anything about it on here yet, but running down 2nd street over lunch I saw a a coming soon sign. Pete 01-17-2019, 04:31 PM Yes, here is their FB page... Hope to open the 1st week of Feb: https://www.facebook.com/deepdeucbricktown/ shawnw 01-17-2019, 05:52 PM Whiskey Biscuit in Deep Deuce... not to be confused with Whiskey Chicks in Bricktown, but let's put both Deep Deuce and Bricktown is in the page name, oy. okatty 01-17-2019, 05:53 PM ^Im excited about this. Just walked by a few minutes ago. Looks pretty close to being ready. TheTravellers 01-17-2019, 09:29 PM Whiskey Biscuit in Deep Deuce... not to be confused with Whiskey Chicks in Bricktown, but let's put both Deep Deuce and Bricktown is in the page name, oy. As well as damn near completely forget about punctuation, grammar, and spell-check, just painful to read. Hope their food's better than their Facebook page, lol... TheTravellers 01-18-2019, 10:07 AM Oh yeah, one of their posts confused me. Said they serve breakfast all day and all night and brunch on Sat/Sun. Um, isn't brunch kind of implied if you serve breakfast all day and all night? I just might not have the "brunch" concept figured out, but seems unnecessarily unneeded and redundant. :) okatty 01-18-2019, 11:30 AM I guess I have just missed that ODOT For Sale Sign on the lot directly to the East of DD Grill. Noticed it yesterday when my dog was sniffing around. It is directly behind (south) of the new house construction that was discussed above (post 262). okatty 01-23-2019, 09:31 AM The house at 300 NE 3rd (corner of 3rd and Central) is now listed as pending. The list price had been lowered to $700K recently. Will be interesting to see the plan is for that property. Jeepnokc 01-23-2019, 09:35 AM Oh yeah, one of their posts confused me. Items that take more prep and/or not enough sales during the week to justify keeping prepped or on hand except during the much busier weekend brunch hours. They may also have brunch cocktail specials. GoldFire 03-26-2019, 08:08 PM Colorful lighting currently getting installed under the bridge into Deep Deuce! Other one listed today (common ownership) is 2827 feet and is $656 per month. The weird thing about the penthouse is they listed very low property tax assessment. I have not looked it up on the assessor site but clearly someone missed something if the taxes on that property are only $2,562 per year. T. Jamison 05-09-2019, 03:56 PM I think Zillow has the wrong account. The assessor account I am looking at (R208600029) shows taxes of $21,724.89 for 2019. okatty 05-09-2019, 03:57 PM ^There you go. There will be two new townhouses directly to the west and finally hide that hideous wall. Pete 06-18-2021, 08:52 AM Here are the two new homes set for construction; they will be taking the 3 lots between the existing row of brownstones and the drive that leads to the rear-entry garages.
