I know we have a lot of spotters, chasers, and enthusiasts around. Thought it might be interesting to have people share some of their favorite photos taken of storms past. I'll put up a couple in the first reply to this and keep this article updated.

Here are a few blasts from the past...

Just a pretty structure photo of a storm moving SE of Norman.

This one came out pretty fuzzy since we had to keep moving. The infamous tornado in North Texas with the crazy sheriff that was flipping out trying to arrest every chaser near by.

Shelf cloud associated with severe thunderstorm as it approaches Stillwater late in the evening on 6/27/13. Picture snapped at Boomer Lake. The storm's reported gusts had decreased some once it arrived to Stillwater. Top wind gust was 48 mph at my house and 52 mph at Stillwater Airport. A couple of neighbors had tree limbs down. Rain had slacked off, too. Just under .20" for both places.

I actually wanted to start a New Thread on this Topic [weather coverage], yet haven't quite figured a way to do it.

A picture might be worth a thousand words . . .
But how many pictures does Weather Blather equal?

Sorry . . . I forgot the value of Panic to the equation.

No, not at all, the bigger the better as long as I don't have to horizontal scroll to see them all. I don't. Nice pics. But where out in the country were the pictures taken?

Better than mine was

I was a bit more west. Got stopped by a State Trooper because I wasn't paying as much as I should have to my speed. We got to talking about that cloud with the full moon formation and he let me go with a warning.

Feb 10th, 2009 was an unusual, not easy to forget winter day in Oklahoma for weather. The photo below, snapped by me, was taken in Stillwater at Boomer Lake Park during the lunch hour with temp near 70. Already then a soon to be very strong line of spring type thunderstorms had begun dramatic development. Video below that shows the scene about three hours later, 15 or so miles southwest of Stillwater with a tornado warning in effect. The tornado had already done damage in the OKC and Edmond areas. Warning: Expletive from the start. Fortunately, the tornado did not affect Stillwater. All that happened was some hail and around an 1 1/2" of rain without much wind.

Thanks! Let's see, in order:

1. Norman, OK (was a tornado producing supercell in Ada on May 21, 2011)
2. Norman, OK on OU's campus
3. Around Coldwater, KS
4. Around Coldwater, Ks
5. Tecumseh, OK (looking north toward Shawnee)
6. Cheyenne, WY
7. Just north of Cheyenne, WY
