That you can get by on charm for about 15 minutes. After that, you'd better know something.

My 15 minutes were up awhile ago.
PennyQuilts 02-05-2014, 09:47 PM If your female friend likes your boyfriend/male but your male friend/father/brother thinks he's a lightweight, listen to your male friend. Men see things in other men a lot of women miss or don't realize are important.

PQ, since I'm certainly older than you, you must be talking about me. :)
RadicalModerate 02-06-2014, 04:33 PM I've learned that it is very important not to sweat the small stuff--without forgetting the details--and to have the wisdom to know the difference.
I've also learned that preparing and sharing good food, is one of the best investments of time, money and talent one can make.
(remember that: "This I Believe" thing on NPR or PBS a few years ago?)
How about this: Don't say it if you don't mean it and don't say it mean if you do . . ?

You are sooooo right! Good Food...Good Friends...Good Times.

That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

Just the facts 02-07-2014, 03:19 PM ...a few people get what they pay for, most get less than they pay for, and almost no one gets more than they pay for.
kevinpate 02-07-2014, 03:35 PM Some people can readily make one want to scream and throw bricks, but whether one actually does, well, that's a personal decision. Don't lay it off on the instigator.
Just the facts 02-07-2014, 03:37 PM This one isn't mine - but I find it to be accurate
Women get married to men thinking he will change - but he doesn't
Men get married to women thinking she won't change - but she does.

Kerry, so what happens when men get married to men or women get married to women?
You stay married long enough you share a communal brain. Any body ask us a question we look at each other and determine whose field of expertise the question falls in. But, whoever answers knows their mate has their six.

dogs love unconditionally.
women are fickle and men have contracted a different fickleness.
dogs love unconditionally.
women are from Venus and men are from Mars.
dogs love unconditionally.
I shot three rounds into my neighbors window. She retaliated with a rocked

her dog still loves me unconditionally.
