That is very good news. I remember well when that shopping center was built and shopped at the Walmart there often. When I first moved to Mustang the only thing on that corner of the intersection was a small closed up gas station and farm land on most of the rest of the section.

Very good news. They reused the old T.G.&Y. space fairly well the old Wal-Mart box needs an uplift. Ace didn't cut it there.

Having stage there will be good since it is the only one in the metro and the closest location to it is Chickasha

They have finally started working on this building. Have torn the old walmart front off of it including awning and entrance. Looks like they are building new entrances since there is going to be multiple tenants. This is going to be a huge improvement when it's done. Very exciting to see something finally being done about it.

Happened to be in the parking lot today, so I decided to take a picture of the front removed. They also ripped up the old sidewalks and part of the parking lot in front of it.

The exterior is really shaping up. They have the far southeast entrance blocked and can't use it to bypass the congestion at Hwy 152 and Mustang road intersection to head North right now.

It's amazing how they remodeled this building, you'd never know it was a crappy Walmart before. :)
I'm not too excited for either store but I'll give them a shot. Hopefully good stuff goes in the vacancies and not things like insurance agents or check-cashing places.

Why, that's so special. It almost looks like a tornado picked up something from UTC here in Norman and set it down over there in one piece. I do wish them success.

Be on the look out for a new "sit down" restaurant to be located on a pad site in front of the shopping center, per my source.

At one time I heard Pizza Hut was relocating there, but it didn't make much sense to me. I know there is still supposed to be a restaurant announced for the East side that I still haven't heard about. I made a thread for it, but haven't seen anything come to fruition.

That should do well there. The Stage is open and I'm starting to see more cars there. With all the farm land being sold to developers there will be plenty of people to keep them busy.

A long time ago, they did that for a strip center in Stillwater after Wal-Mart moved out it.

I "heard" several times IHOP was coming, definitely have no idea on the location. I agree, not my choice either.

Looks like I heard right, it was confirmed in the paper today Pizza Hut is moving into one of the new additions on the South. Also Mustang Mattress Gallery will be moving there. Kind of disappointed because all this really does is shuffle businesses around and leaves their old buildings empty.

There has been lots of work going on at the new Pizza Hut and the sign was going up today.

I asked them a week ago when I was eating when they'd be moving they said originally it was supposed to be January but now is March.
