Less than a decade after opening, Provision Concepts is expanding the Broadway 10 concept beyond Oklahoma (https://businessden.com/2023/06/22/oklahoma-restaurateur-takes-first-floor-of-new-cherry-creek-office-building/)

Yeah this was the goal Mark Fischer had when he bought in. They want to add a bunch of restaurants (primarily hatch, sidecar and Broadway 10) all over the country. Also looking at some pretty cool new concept ideas.

I love this for them, but I always wonder about them forgetting about OKC once they go national.

But Provisions is a great company, and have awesome restaurants! They deserve to go national.

News 9 says the fire was put out quickly, but no news on damage yet.

When I drove by during the fire, streets shut down, etc., the smoke appeared to be coming from Broadway 10. Drove by later, fire trucks and cops gone, and a restoration company was working inside B10, while Hatch appeared to be locked up tight. I think it was B10. Bolstered by the fact that B10 posted to their Insta that they were temporarily closed.

Fire indeed stated in the kitchen ductwork for B10. They are now closed until November 1st for restorations.

I am very concerned that Broadway 10 will not reopen. At first I was told December, then January, now I am hearing February for the reopen. Any updates on the restoration/renovation post fire? I live/work downtown and I don’t see any construction activity at all down there.

I read on Facebook today that they just got started renovating last week. I was very surprised to hear that because it has been so long since their fire. Obviously, they are going to miss out on any holiday business, and that isn't good for any restaurant. Meanwhile, aren't they going to open a restaurant near Rose Creek? What's the progress on that one?

I'll see if I can get an update from Provision Concepts. I suspect the delay in reopening had to do with insurance.

As far as Rose Creek, it's still in the works but there hasn't even been a building permit application for anything other than the recently-opened Homeland. So, it's going to be a while.

it’s going to reopen. They are planning to expand this concept beyond Oklahoma. They aren’t going to close the original.

March is NOT "Early 2024" --- this has been pushed too far back and blaming the insurance companies is not a good approach.

They just got the settlement from the insurance company.

You think they don't want to be open ASAP?

What would have them say otherwise? We had a storm damage claim on a 8 plex we were remodeling and insurance fighting put us back almost year so it is a real thing.

Good grief, the nitpicking of other folks’ businesses here is epic. These are real-world issues these operators are facing, not some fantasy sim-city scenario.

Who TF cares what someone on an Internet forum thinks when you lose a business to a fire - even if only temporarily - have a thorny time securing your insurance settlement, lose THE ENTIRE holiday season (which is the absolute busiest time of year for restaurants like Broadway 10) and are shut down for months due to no fault of your own?

YOU - a poster on OKC Talk - aren’t being harmed personally by the slow pace of this return. BROADWAY 10 is who is being harmed. Have some freaking compassion.

I read last week they are opening a Broadway 10 in the ritzy Cherry Creek North srea in Denver. I looked into them and the Hal Smith restaurants and had no idea either of gheir firms were so big! Great for OKC companies!

Then that took too long and they need to be more honest with their prospective customers.

Yeah, it doesn't work like that. I am sure there was a disagreement between the building insurance company and the restaurant insurance company which delayed it. It's not their job to let you know everything that happens along the way...

Never said such a thing! I think the insurance company took too long, but B10 needs to be more honest with the public. They have moved the goal posts on their re-opening at least twice.

Why oes a private business with no public ownership owe any of us anything? Are you seriously dying on this hill, still? They haven't moved anything.

I didn't realize people were this desperate to eat there. Maybe they've underestimated their local market lol.

I don’t understand why so many on here who have no experience or knowledge of this or similar situations always accuse the owner of being dishonest when the project doesn’t go exactly as they think it should or as the owner hoped. They want constant information but can’t handle the way these things change and happen along the way. It’s a no win for the owners. I understand why some don’t give out any information but just do what they have to do.

WHY ISNT A RANDOM PRIVATELY OWNED RESTAURANT INFORMING THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF ITS EVERY MOVE DOWN TO THE SECOND?!?!?

or something like that.

Sunnyside Diner at 6th and Classen that had the small fire outside also still looks closed and boarded up some. I'm sure they are also wanting to get back open but the reality is these just take time. I don't think anything is an easy quick fix anymore. Same as B10

Had dinner last night at Broadway 10 and the place was absolutely heaving. Such a beautiful spot and food was great as always.

Was told they have been doing a robust business since reopening, and it was good to see.

There is all this nonsense about the economic slowdown and how people aren't going out as much. Just go to a well-run restaurant in OKC on a weekend night and try to get a table.

Great to hear they were doing well. I was worried about them, but that was only based on me being there a couple times during the weekday for an early dinner, so not a good sample. Every other restaurant I’ve been to in and around downtown is constantly packed for dinner and often have HOURS long waitlists. I was just telling me wife I remember when you could easily walk into a restaurant here without a reservation and have at most a 30 minute wait. Now, there are several restaurants here where you must have a reservations days in advance. It’s really impressive.

Tried to get into Jimmy B's last night for a drink, and there wasn't an empty seat in the house.

Also went by Tequila Chulos and couldn't even get in the door.

The bar area at B10 is easily one of the nicest and best in all of OKC.

The space and setting are just amazing, even after all these years (must be close to a decade now).
