Texas-Oklahoma Passenger Rail Study - Get Involved (http://www.txdot.gov/inside-txdot/projects/studies/statewide/texas-oklahoma-rail/get-involved.html)

I hate to start yet another rail thread to have a re-hash of the same debates, but this didn't seem to fit into the existing threads, even though those threads have all kind of blended together. Anyway, ODOT tweeted this a short time ago, but it's an event being put on by TXDOT, which is interesting. If you want to skip the link, be at MetroTech Springlake on Monday 2/3 at 6pm for the OKC meeting.

Disappointed in the turnout at this meeting. I realize it's still technically going on, but there might have been five non-government people there for the main part of the presentation.

Please go to the site (Texas-Oklahoma Passenger Rail Study (http://www.TXOKrail.org)), review the material, and submit comments. You have the rest of the month to get your submissions in.

One thing you probably won't see in the material is that they mentioned the Texas Central Railway Company (think I have that right) is investigating putting in high speed rail between Dallas and Houston without public money because they think they can make the numbers work.
