A sleep center, I wouldn't get too excited for it.

No, a sleep studio isn't anything to get extremely excited about, but...

The Mathis Brother's Studio Sleep Center, if it looks anything like the Norman location (the only one i've ever been to), will help to fill in one of many empty lots around the city and continue the continuity of the 29th Street Shopping Center in aesthetics, thus reflecting a more positive image of Midwest City.

Well accordingly to sources at the barbershop and local hardware store coffee pot, It seems that the city Council was paid a visit by a Mathis Brother (this was during new business session at a city council mtg) and informed the council they were looking at building 3 stores in this area, a Sleep ctr, a furniture ctr and a lazy boy ctr. Also land has been purchased for 1 of these. O and it was spoken that the Norman Ctr brought in Half Million $ in the 1st 30 days of business there, The council had a mtg with the Co. and they are helping them locate locations for there business.

That would be cool although I really wish we get some national competition like The Dump, Rooms To Go, and perhaps an Ikea would be awesome.

this would make sense in their annouced expansion plans. They had previously said they were going to build five or six Ashley stores. Ashley and Lazyboy have both gone to the free standing store concept. So I'm sure there has been some pushing by both of them to get free standing presence in the Oklahoma Market. They are also adding the sleep center locations near their California operations also.

That surprised me to see they had stores in California. They were always just an OKC think, in my little pea-brain.
