What is being built on the SW corner of SW 15th and Portland. Building is up but no sign and can't really tell what it is.

Probably a hotel given the area. 15th is becoming a big hotel row.

No, the building is up and definitely isn't a hotel. It looks to be the size of a large c-store but looks like metal building construction with windows and a door on the north side facing street. It is on the north side of OKC's fleet maintenance facility so may be tied into that.

It will be an OnGo Express convenience store:

Thanks. Would have thought they would get a sign up. Do you know if they are going to brick it or leave it the crappy looking metal siding? Hopefully those are diesel pumps on the west side.

Not enough gas pumps for the traffic I typically see at On Cues.

Not sure this is an OnCue. Pete says OnGo Express which appears to be an aspiring new c-store chain with this being their first location.

OnGo sounds familiar... I think there may be another location in the N OKC area (Britton / May)? I swear I have seen that name before...

That link that Pete added says this is their first store.

They really are taking their time on this one. I drive by every few weeks and they have barely made any progress in the last few months.

No sign, no gas pumps, and no parking lot. Brickwork is mostly done, as is the concrete around where the pumps will go. They appear to plan to sell Valero Gas.

I'm surprised there is not more development. There are 5 or 6 new hotels on 15th now. They could really use a good breakfast place in the area to cater to the hotel crowd who want something more than a crappy continental breakfast. Maybe a lunch place as well for the folks that work in the area. The area lacks a "healthy" oriented lunch place for sure other than subway around SW 24th and Meridian

Dell has probably close to 1500-2000 employees, not sure about UPS but its probably over 1000-1500 judging by the large number of cars in the parking lot, also several other offices within a mile north of the river off meridian.

It would seem to make sense but the apartments there are really rough. Although still a mile away, it doesn't seem like that far to drive over to meridian for lunch. Even if restaurant at 15/Portland, I would still drive from UPS or Dell as this area really isn't walkable. You have to walk by your car to get to the street so just as easy to get in car. Once you are in the car, 1/4 mile versus 1 mile in really no traffic isn't a deterrent or reason not to go. I was comfortable walking down many deserted streets in Cuba in the middle of the night last year but was very uncomfortable when my truck broke down in front of Dell last December as it was getting dark. (Disclaimer...I once had to count the number of bullet holes in the siding of one of the apt buildings there when I was working a murder case that occurred there several years ago.....27 to be exact)

I haven't looked too hard so forgive me if there is already a thread but this seemed close to the White Water Bay location. Does anyone know what's being built right next to White Water?
