I am wanting to get my 11 year old grandson a used/reconditioned laptop/notebook and my blurred memory banks tells me that there is a place in south Okc or Moore which focuses on selling reconditioned computers. I'm not able to locate such a place on the web or yellow pages, but I'm sure it is (or was) there someplace.

Any help?

I'm not wanting to spend much money on this initial venture ... I'm a cheapo granddad until I learn that such an investment will be used & appreciated and, after that, maybe I'll be willing to spend larger change.

Have you considered a Gateway Profile, as a Mac user I bought one for those unfortunate times I need to have a PC and I like it. They can be bought like new for about 275.00-300.00.

Thanks, the price is right. I'll have a look at Gateway.

My wife and I are trying to sell her Compaq Presario 2100 for $500. Bought it 11 months ago for $1200. Has a 40GB hard drive, 512MB of RAM, an AMD Athlon 2800+ 2.12 GHz processor, DVD-ROM/CD-R/RW drive and of course Windows XP SP2. My brother wants to buy it, but has yet to come up with any $$$.

My wife and I no longer need the laptop, as she is wanting to buy an iMac after we move to Texas.

Thanks, OkcPulse,

That's a very good price for the machine and I'd suppose you'll get it. It's just that I'm looking for something about half that as a starter for my grandson. Thanks for asking, though!

I had a bad experince with a gateway pc, turned out to be a pos. Maybe I just got a bad apple or soemthing out of the bunch, I always had issues with it and it crashed and frozze up all the time. I have a hp now and its been doing real good so far.
