The atmosphere is very 'big city' and it is always changing due to the various artwork on display. There is always a nice crowd. One of the great thing about LiT is that there is no cover charge. Always a plus. :) Also, the rooftop is a great place to get a drink and look down at all the Bricktown patrons below. (its a great place to view fireworks, also!) micahalcorn 08-01-2005, 12:49 AM Very impressive setting. I haven't been on the roof, but it is a great place to drink and hang out away from the crowded and loud dance clubs. metro 08-01-2005, 12:34 PM Hey micah, good to finally see you aboard, its me (Steven) . Yeah Lit prounounced (light) has a nice urban core environment found in larger cities and is very minimalist and plays good house music with live dj's usually micahalcorn 08-01-2005, 02:02 PM I've been registered for like 6 months or so, but I never post. I like to read everone's views on development, such as the casino debate and the URA scandals. BDP 08-01-2005, 04:50 PM Lit also features the work of good local artists, live music on Wed and Thursday, and they have occasional screenings (called SpotLit) of local films and shorts. I like the rooftop in cooler months. I am always amazed that there is only one rooftop bar in Bricktown. Seems like that would be a given... metro 08-02-2005, 05:52 PM Technically speaking, BDP, they're not, Nonna's also has a rooftop bar and SKYYBAR as well micahalcorn 08-02-2005, 06:01 PM I think the technical question is what distinguishes a rooftop bar from a patio bar. The effect is the same to me. BDP 08-03-2005, 12:22 PM I think the technical distinction is that Skybarr and Nonna's have patios adjacent to their indoor bars and Lit has a bar on its roof. micahalcorn 08-03-2005, 12:45 PM I've never been on Lit's roof, but I assume they also serve drinks in the outdoor (roof/patio) section, while Nonna's and Skky require you to go inside. pdjr 08-09-2005, 02:29 AM Martinis under the stars with future stars and star posers. You get the whole package at Lit. It's like Hollywood on laxatives. The view is tremendous, the look is clean, and there are some pretty decent cigars for sale downstairs. And look at the art. Hidden gems await. |
