Anyone have an idea of what is going on there? There is some renovation in the old Wal-Mart store. It appears the roof is being redone and the storefront reworked just a bit. The building does not appear to be splitting up in smaller store fronts. Any ideas what is going on there?

That place was in bad, bad shape. I was looking in town for some office space and went there and asked the subway (when they were there) manager how the building was. He took me out back and showed me a hole in the roof next to their location. Said he told the property owners in California but they would not do anything about it. Surely the property managers would not be fixing that building up unless there were plans for it.

They're doing some work on the old Mustang WM as well. All this may be is the investors putting those buildings in shape to bring in more potential buyers.

A month or maybe 2 ago there was something in the paper about a potential tenant for Mustang's old Walmart building. It insinuated that would be released by the end of the year, so I'm guessing we should know something sooner rather than later.

The old Wal-Mart building is now gone. Completely torn down to the slab. But the Radio Shack on the west end is still there. I have been told it will be a hotel. But that would be a weird spot for a hotel and a weird setup with no traditional entrance. It has to be something else.

I was told by an El Reno resident that it was torn down because is was dilapidated. He did not mention anything going in its place.

Then why is the part where the old Subway was located still standing? That part was in very bad shape. There was a hole in the ceiling.

hehe, I guess it is up to me to answer my own question.

The foundation has being taken down to the dirt. There is something definitely going into that space. Sure hope it isn't a hotel. Would love if it were a Chili's or TGIF or Applebee's or similar.

Anyone find out what is going in there? There has been dirt work there lately (last few weeks).
