Looks like KOCO's Chief Met will be getting some national exposure. He posted this on his Facebook this afternoon. How bout that.

Big news! I will be filling in on the weekends for Good Morning America starting next weekend. It's only temporary. But very excited for the opportunity. Check your listings.

I don't watch KOCO except for weather coverage and he's a good one. Good for him.

He is good but I had to laugh uncontrollably during the first round of winter weather a few weeks ago. He, and everyone else missed the timing of round 1 by a day. It hit Friday afternoon instead of Thursday afternoon. Then Friday night he smiled confidently into the cameras and said "Round 2 is coming. I'll tell you exactly when it will be here in a few minutes".

Really? I must live in an alternate universe then since some of the workers in my office got sent home early on Thursday when round 1 started coming in.

If we're talking about the same event then yes you must. Thursday (11/21) was bone dry. Friday (11/22) was dry until sleet started falling a bit before noon.

Roads in my area of OKC were getting very slick Thursday afternoon. I have no idea where you live but it was dangerous before rush hour in NW OKC and cars were having big time trouble in some parts. One of my co-workers who left early on Thursday called me when she got home to caution me to be very careful.

Absolutely. Thursday afternoon it was already getting very precarious in many parts of Oklahoma City. They let my wife off early and schools were already cancelled for Friday based on what was already on the streets getting much worse during the temperature plunge overnight.

SoonerSoftail is talking about the winter weather a week before Thanksgiving, not last week.

Sorry, SoonerSoftail. I was thinking of the last storm and yes, I saw you gave dates - just missed it.
