Any idea what is being built next to The Market?

I just used that entrance into Quails Springs Mall yesterday and was surprised to see a steel frame in place for a pretty sizable structure. (Right across the streets from those new apartments, next to the The Market.) There was quite a bit of construction activity going on.

I tried to look as I drove by, but didn't see any "coming soon" signs.

If you are talking about just south of the Market on Highland Park, it is probably this project:

I don't think the space next to The Market is one of those golf locations - not big enough.

The steel structure they are building looks about the size of a Walgreens or a little larger. But that is just based on a quick glance as I drove by in the other lane.

Sorry, I misunderstood the location.

This will be for "Sears Retail Sales", a 16,000 sq. ft. building with very few windows.

Perhaps for parts and appliances?

I remember there being a discussion on this website about Sears in that location a few months ago. I believe they are going to open one of their "Hometown Store" concepts there. IIRC, it will be similar to the store in Edmond located at 33rd and Broadway. It's a stripped down version of one of their department stores--the one in Edmond has only tools, appliances, and electronics.

I'm wondering if they are building the space big enough for a variety of stores? There is a sign in front of the construction stating "spaces available for lease."

Whatever it is, it is extremely cheap looking.
