From the Wabash Valley, to the front range of the Cascades and the Sierrra Madre Mountains. From the Rio Grande' Valley to Hudson Bay.

Important to Oklahoma City Metro teens during the 60's, a staple for young people in Mid-America/Canada.

"When the shadows get longer, the signal gets stronger."

Air-chek, Deane Johnson, 1965.

"Yours truly, KOMA."

I could pick up KOMA at night when I was stationed at Ellsworth A.F.B. in South Dakota. I had "borrowed" a few things form the shop and had an antenna running up a pine tree. Clear as a bell at night. It was nice to have that touch of home up there.

KOMA came in pretty good in Boulder, Colorado. Especially on Sunday nights. I used to turn the dial from KIMN (The Denver Tiger) to listen to their playlists instead. Seems like KOMA played more Rock-a-Billy than KIMN.

Jimmy Webb said in a concert recently he could hear KOMA at night on the beach in Newport Beach, California.

I once heard Robby Steinhardt of Kansas say that he used to listen to KOMA at night in Lawrence, Kansas.
