We went to the Pop-Ups in Midtown and end up getting our tree there. I probably stop by a few more times a knock out some Christmas shopping. It's a really cool atmosphere with some great shops.

Thanks for buying your tree there. The tree lot at the midtown pop ups support Bishop John Carroll School athletics. Nick Colison bought his tree there last weekend.

A cool (or rather cold) shot of the igloos (I mean popups) in Midtown:

Of course, this was taken yesterday, so I can't verify that after today's quake these are still standing (* dark humor *)

Just heard that the pop-up igloos / domes may become a more year-round feature at 10th & Hudson.

Would dovetail in nicely with Bleu Garten as a way for Midtown Renaissance to utilize and activate these keep empty parcels until they can turn their focus to permanent developments at those locations.

With this, Bleu Garten and Midtown Mutts, that makes 3 of their properties with temporary uses. I love that they do this to keep the lots from being vacant.

I thought that the holiday pop up shops were located on st Anthony property?

As has been discussed elsewhere, the Holiday Pop-up Shops that were last year located across from Saint Anthony are moving to the lot directly west of Bleu Garten on 10th in Midtown.

This used to be a sunken area that collected water; then fill from Fassler Hall was dumped here. Now, they are in the process of doing dirt work to level the property.

The website for the OKC Pop-ups (http://www.okcpopups.com/) points to a Nov. 28th opening.

Will provide great synergy with Bleu Garten.

That's cool. The geodesic design evokes a 'Christmas tree decoration / snowball /
igloo' type of feel. Quite appropriate to the season.

Not to mention that OKC has a certain well known geodesic dome that is being given
new life right now. Nice tie in.
I hope the domes can be lit with Christmas colors and won't be stark white.

The leveling of this property is almost finished. I have not been by yet today so it may be done. It looks infinitely better already than what was there for years. As an added bonus there are no longer cars parked in the Bleu Garden lot. 10th street has come a long way in a short amount of time. I know I get impatient for all of the empty lots to get developed but if I take inventory of everything that has been developed it is quite remarkable. There must not be much in the way of empty buildings in Midtown so the next logical step is the development of the empty lots.

The igloos are going here as well.

Also, I've heard there will be a massive Christmas tree at this site.

Okay, this is for a haunted house, not the pop-up shops.

I traded messages with Chris Fleming at MidtownR about this today and he told me it was for the Pop-ups.

The organizers of the Pop-up Shops during the holidays next to Bleu Garten will start a similar project at the same site starting in March.

An open-air market of artisans, local shops and vintage finds. Last weekend of the month, March - Sept.

The Industry Flea is open the last Friday of every month during H&8th and the following Saturday, March thru September. Vendors for each month are announced around the 15th of the month.

I'd love it if they could rope in a legit Farmer's Market into their Saturday flea market. That Farmer's Market at OSUOKC is depressing, for some reason. I think it's the warehouse.
