What would it take to get one in Edmond? Norman and Stillwater both have them. If their model works in those cities, I would think they would make a killing over by UCO/Lowe's/Target.

I think Yukon has one as well.

Would be cool to see one in Edmond and I would like to see Moore have Hastings too

Hastings tends to focus on smaller towns. I am curious to see if Hastings opens many new stores in the future. With the demise of Borders and the financial problems of Barnes & Noble along with the digital age, I am curious to see how stores like Hastings hold up in the next ten years. I am not sure Hastings will expand much. I like Hastings and enjoy going in and reading magazines and books for a couple of hours. I am kind of a dying breed because I prefer a hard copy to an electronic version of books, magazines, and music. I get tired of looking at a screen to read. I hope Hastings can survive.

I don't know if they make any money from it, but there are still lots of folks who will rent DVDs. Their selection is awesome, and Netflix doesn't really have great movie offerings in their streaming content, and if you want to watch a couple of specific movies over a weekend, their mail model does not allow for that.

I think Edmond would be a great location. You Moore and S. OKC folks can do what I used to do when I lived there, drive 15 minutes South! ;)

Hastings used to be all over the OKC metro but nowadays it seems like they have shifted their focus to smaller markets. I think their shift to smaller markets will help them survive.

The only ones that I knew of were in the outer burbs like Yukon and maybe one in Moore, none in OKC proper that I can remember. Much more used to seeing them in places like Lawton and Altus.

They just recently closed their Duncan store.
