Long story short go see it. Preferably in IMAX 3D at the Warren. Im usually not a 3D guy but this was done right. The sound was some of the best Ive heard.

I do think that it would lose its luster watching it at home so go check it out when you can. It's pretty short too.

it was a fun movie. i totally agree that this is one best enjoyed in imax 3d as it'll probably lose much of its impact on the home screen. -M

I'm wanting to go see this movie. I usually wait for them to come out but it sounds like this is a must see on IMAX kind of movie.

So, remember the thread a while back that says Hollywood needs to do something different in order to make money on movies? Is that what this is? A step in another direction? or is it a good movie that could stand alone without special effects? My knee-jerk opinion is that I won't go see it -- it looks boring (or at least the ads are boring).

A must see in 3D - which I usually don't care for. The bigger the screen the better, and sit in the middle or closer, you want the screen to fill your vision. Then, you are there, in space, and this is all real. Also, good look at space station and Russian spacecraft. The story, personal. Some may not like it, but it does not matter ... the show still delivers.

We saw Gravity, and it was a well done movie. We saw it in 3D but not on IMAX. 3D is a must for this movie. Sandra Bullock was excellent in it. I bet she is nominated to an Oscar.

I agree. I saw it at the Warren last weekend. Outstanding movie.

I enjoyed it in 2D at Harkins. The Wife and I don't handle the 3D effect to well. The movie does keep your heart racing.

What a great movie. I'm not so sure about the ending though. It was my first time at an Imax and the 3D was pretty cool. Not sure I can see a movie in anything other than an Imax now.

My favorite movie of the year.

I agree. Saw it yesterday. It was pretty amazing.

I enjoyed it for the special effects and premise (two astronauts lost in space following an accident), but the execution of the premise was disappointing. I'm not spoiling, but those of you who have seen it may agree. I saw it in 3D and plan to see it again, but I'll get a better seat right in the middle of the theater. Those special effects were awesome, and I'll know where to look for the action next time!
