Cool. I knew something like this would be a goldmine in the Quail Spring area. This is what I kept saying the old Ultimate Electronic building should be made into.

Wow. My kids will love this. We went to Gattitown over the weekend for the first time and thought it was ok. This place appears to be much more entertaining. What type of food will be served?

Looks like they have a pretty broad menu, including lots of specialty cocktails:

I was thinking of this place a few days ago.

But why not in Downtown area? ...lower Bricktown would be perfect. Quail Springs is busy, but not all that easy to get to. With all the hotels downtown / Bricktown, it would have been a better choice.. IMO.

Yes, their focus is families and Memorial Road is the best place for them.

Remember, there will be laser tag soon in Bricktown, there is already bowling in Lower BT and of course Dave & Busters caters to the adult crowd.

I've heard our D&B is kinda lame and does not cater enough to the adult crowd.

This is definitely a Memorial type development...would like to see no more big-boxes downtown.

East of Skygolf on the other side of the turnpike. Skygolf is going just south of Lowe's, which is directly south of QSM.

The sign North of target is for an upscale childcare center. They are building it in front of the apartments next door to Sherwin Williams.

That would be fun. We used to do glow in the dark bowling many years ago. Was really late at night and I was much younger then. Think about the options now for all these adult fun places where you can drink and get lit up and then call Uber!

Planned NW OKC entertainment center to feature bowling, laser tag, food and drink | News OK (http://newsok.com/planned-nw-okc-entertainment-center-to-feature-bowling-laser-tag-food-and-drink/article/3935305)

Dallas-based entertainment venue Main Event is coming to Oklahoma City with a new 58,000 square-foot venue just off Memorial Road that will feature bowling, laser tag, an aerial ropes course, games, restaurants and a full bar.

The company has been looking to expand into Oklahoma for the past several years, said Main Event CEO Charlie Keegan. In January, Main Event purchased 5.6 acres of land just northwest of W Memorial Road and N Western Avenue for $2 million. A building permit filed with the city shows the new Main Event will cost $7.8 million to build.

“With Oklahoma City we feel like we have some brand equity in the market and that we will do well there,” Keegan said. “We think a lot of people in OKC shop and eat in Dallas on occasion and are familiar with our brand from our presence there.”

The company hopes to have the new Oklahoma City Main Event open sometime in 2015.

“There’s a handful of sort-of entertainment districts in OKC, but we chose the Quail Springs area because we think it kind of fits our profile,” Keegan said. “We’re a bowling-anchored family entertainment center — because bowling appeals to a broad demographic, we have an adult component, we have a good teenage component and kid component.”

If this is anything like Playtime Pizza, it won't be real competition for Laser Quest. LQ has a pretty good arena. This appears to be very basic.

I feel like HeyDay is legit laser tag, but maybe that doesn't fit with "in town". Or maybe my idea of legit is, in itself, not legit.

So there is some significant action going on at this location now. Lots of equipment on site and lots of dirt moving. They have a very large area completely fenced off but it appears that there is also dirt work happening just east of the fenced off area. Is this an extension or an additional project?

Probably just the parking area, which is east of the main building.

Couldn't find any other building permits in that area.

Glad this is ramping up!

The Main Events I've been to in DFW had the mini golf under the overhead ropes course. Don't know if that is the case here, but now that I am looking at it closer, it looks like the ropes course is over the games section, so I guess no mini golf.

I get your joke entirely, and it made me chuckle a bit, but it's an entirely unfair characterization. Two residents complained about Guyutes and a whole bunch of them signed the petition in support of it. Beating up MP residents just ain't cool. Oh yeah, I live in Paseo, just so that's out there.

Looks like Main Event has a place in mind for a Tulsa location as well:

An expanding family entertainment chain that offers bowling, multilevel laser tag, billiards, restaurants and more in one location plans to build a site in Tulsa.

Dallas-based Main Event Entertainment plans to locate its center at 7830 S. Santa Avenue

A commercial building permit filed with the City of Tulsa lists the estimated cost of the project at $6.2 million and the declared value of the proposed building at $11 million.

According to the permit, the proposed construction will be 150,000 square feet. In a previous company release, however, Main Event has noted that its locations range in size from 45,000 to 75,000 square feet.

OKC's location is supposed to be 58,028, so this one will be almost three times the size. Not sure why they would build one that big.

Main Event Entertainment to open in Tulsa - Tulsa World: Retail (http://www.tulsaworld.com/business/retail/main-event-entertainment-to-open-in-tulsa/article_44f086a2-50c9-5031-9e68-c4a4f58dca32.html)

Building permits are often inaccurate.

I'm sure they'll be building almost the exact same plan as OKC, as it's their newest layout.

I've never actually gone to a Main Event in Texas, but drive by them all the time, they always look better on the outside than ~50,000 square ft.

BTW: I think the correct address for the one in Tulsa is 7830 S. Santa Fe Ave. Which I think is opposite the highway from Tulsa Hills, surrounded by apartment complexes. Seems like a little bit of an odd location.
