Came across some nice pics from the 5th Annual 'Tapas At Twilight' event in Shawnee.

Held at St. Gregory's, this dinner featured only locally grown, raised or produced food and drink.

The event was sponsored by this group:

Interesting to see Shawnee working on this kind of stuff. Bike routes going in along with curbside recycling.

About 12 years ago I visited Shawnee a number of times. I liked the town. It somewhat reminded me of an earlier, smaller Edmond from my youth (not the big trafficy place it has become).

I like Shawnee just fine. I go over a few times a year on business. This event does look like fun.

I don't tend to dine there much. I am usually there in the early mornings. Just missed out on a recently phoned in kaboom threat at their hall of justice last week. We ended up at the top of the docket and were in and out and down the road well before that ugly call came in. Someone threw a huge crowd of folks into hurry up & wait & hope mode for the rest of the morning hours and into early early afternoon.

I was Phil R. kind of happy to have not been set on the tail end of their long, long docket that day.
