The three times I've been by there the gate arms were up and anyone could drive in.

Right, but currently nothing is open in the Buick Building or the Marion. The only thing that is open in the Pontiac building are two retail operations.

I suspect the arms will be down during the weekdays and that the Marion residents will get a reserved space.

That will be very handy for when the freak hail storms hit again. Do they have reserved spaces or is it used to to supplement on street parking?

This garage has a haunted vibe to it.

It's a bit disconcerting that the side with only two wires is attached to an old building.

I hate this garage more every time I drive by it.

Is there a water feature going in that circular area underneath the 'Stairway to Heaven' I can't tell from one of Will's pics. Thanks for the pics Will, BTW.

I know the cables are big, but it's still unsettling to see, knowing how massive the winds get here...

I'm more concerned about the first crazy kid that tries to get up there to "climb" those stairs. I hope they factored in the weight of a person with those cables.

I'm sure it can support it, they probably factored in a lot of extra forces from ice (which will quickly add up to thousands of pounds), and high winds.

A good Oklahoma ice storm will put as much weight on the staircase and cables as 10 or 15 NBA players.

^It's true. I saw Russell up there training before this recent west coast trip.

I thought the same thing. In fact in the past I probably would have been the crazy kid...

There were two teen kids on bikes checking it out when I took the photo. Who knows what they did after I left.

When I was in town a few weeks ago, I noticed the top 2-3 floors of this garage are being used for Mercedes storage for the nearby dealership.

Not totally surprising given the Bob Howard / Midtown Renaissance connection.

Would actually slightly mimic historic configuration of the automobile dealerships originally located in Automobile Alley district, which had showrooms on the ground floor and car storage on upper floors, rather than in giant surface lots.
