What's really cool about these illusions and performers like Angel and David Blaine is that they're taking some very, very old parlor tricks and magic bits and updating them for a contemporary audience. Read about the how-to on some of Blaine's stuff a few years ago after I actually recognized one of his tricks from an old magic book I had as a kid, and found a story about how these guys are kinda making performance magic cool again. I can't say I'm a big fan of some of the more bizarre performance aspects of it, but c'est la vie, I suppose.

I'd love to know how he does that coffee mug trick. Incredibly impressive.
