GQofOklahoma 08-12-2013, 05:36 PM Local Hipster Hangout and Club Kamps to become La Brasa Peruvian Kitchen.
Looks great and they have also listed it as a late night lounge.

OKCisOK4me 08-13-2013, 04:32 PM So did someone obviously hack into their Facebook account, lol?

No. Someone created another page. The orignal Le Brasa page is still in operation..... https://www.facebook.com/LaBrasaOkc
OKCisOK4me 08-13-2013, 04:39 PM Oh, okay..haha. Sucks for them.
bchris02 08-14-2013, 06:08 AM So is Kamp's closing and being replaced with this restaurant or not? Their Facebook page doesn't say anything about them becoming a Peruvian restaurant. If it's happening, I wonder how long they will last considering they stole their logo?
ljbab728 07-31-2014, 12:33 AM It's surprising that something this unique has gotten so little attention here.

It is really good. I had never had Peruvian food and went there with friends. Everything was great and I plan to go back with my wife.
John Knight 07-31-2014, 10:24 AM I ate there Monday night for their 'Date Night' and it was amazing. I have never had Peruvian food but I plan on going back.
BTW, their 'Date Night' is every Monday and includes two entrees and a bottle of wine for $30. Legit!
CuatrodeMayo 07-31-2014, 10:32 AM They are apparently still using the "stolen" logo. If the accusations are true and as a professional in a creative field, I find this very distasteful.
Bullbear 07-31-2014, 10:40 AM Two entrees and a bottle of wine for $30.00!.. TAKE MY MONEY!.. gonna try this soon!

I think the scammer was the person that started the stolen logo FB page.
I've looked all over the Saffron Culture (http://www.saffronculture.co.uk/#go_page_0) website and can't find the logo La Brasa is using.
Larry OKC 07-31-2014, 02:35 PM Maybe they aren't currently using it?
Did a google search of Saffron Culture images and found these where the peacock is used

It appears to have been an alternate concept that wasn't used by them (they ended up going with the logo you see on their website)?

Hmmmm... Nice detective work.
TheTravellers 08-01-2014, 11:59 AM Thanks for the tip, Inca Trail didn't impress us much 'cos we were used to Zarate's wonderfulness at the time, but Zarate's ain't got the mojo no more, pretty disappointed last time we were there, so we'll have to try this place.
The owner and culinary leader of La Brasa, James Vu, has been selected to compete on the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen.
Not sure when the eps will air but will post again when I have the schedule.

As someone who learned to cook by rummaging through my mom's pantry and fridge and throwing stuff together from whatever I could find.... I think cooking on a show like Cutthroat Kitchen, or Chopped, would be a blast!
MagzOK 11-02-2019, 09:16 AM Went to La Brasa last night and, once again, was blown away by the food, service, and atmosphere. The space is so beautiful with its mixed decor and colors. I just love how you can feel the beat of the music yet it's not so loud as to keep you from hearing your party. We are never disappointed with any of the food. This place is so great that after spending a couple hours here when I physically walk out of the place and see Classen Boulevard, I'm slightly disappointed I'm not walking out to a bustling NYC sidewalk.
