Plans are now finalized and this has turned into more of an event than a mere get-together.

Date & Time: Wednesday August 14th from 6 to 8PM
Place: Dunlap Codding 609 W. Sheridan (Film Row) 73102. Park in lot on east side of building, walk along Sheridan and enter from courtyard on west side.
Food & Drink: Appetizers from Paramount Cafe with pies from Pie Junkie! Soda, coffee, beer, wine and water provided.
Program: Mix & mingle, brief talk by local historian and author Bradley Wynn on Film Row.
Charge: None! Consider this a thank you for your participation in the forum. (And a testament to the amazing generosity of Dunlap Codding.)

Please indicate if you plan to attend by voting in the poll. We would like a somewhat accurate headcount for planning purposes, but feel free to come if you decide it will work out, even at the last minute. The whole point is to get a good turnout.

As has been discussed elsewhere, Dunlap Codding has a beautifully restored building on Sheridan with a great indoor/outdoor event space.

Would love to see you there! If you have any trepidation I can assure this will be fun, relaxed and very worth your while.

So Pete, what is the likelyhood that you guys will still be hanging out somewhere after the 8pm time frame? I had my schedule set for this but alas a conflict at work has arisen and I can't make it now. I would still like to get together with all of you if you're out. Should I check in with you on Facebook at that time? Post 8pm still seems somewhat manageable.

I have a training ride that evening, but I'll be there if we're rained out (a valid concern this wacky summer!).

I suspect a bunch of us will head over to Joey's afterwards.

What is the minimum age? I'm 19, is that ok? I'd like to come, I probably won't stay for too long though.

Hi everyone - I'm looking forward to welcoming everyone to Dunlap Codding on Wednesday evening. Feel free to park in the lot east of the building and come around to the courtyard on the west side.

There will be soda, coffee, water, beer, and wine. An assortment of pies from Pie Junkie will hopefully tempt your inner sweet tooth. I know there will also be a number of folks from Film Row businesses who will also be attending - including KOSU.

See y'all Wednesday.

- Douglas

Pete? If we know folks that we think would contribute well to this, can we invite them?

Sure, it's open to anyone who has an interest/passion for OKC.

And again, can't thank Dunlap Codding enough for all they are doing.

BTW, there will be a bunch of people there who aren't necessarily registered on this site, so we are going to have a good-sized crowd.

Really looking forward to it!

I'm departing the maybe column and landing in the nope column.
I was thinking the other grandparents would be enjoying our daughter and our lovely grandbabies on Wed. evening, but I was mistaken.
Y'all have fun. You're nice and all that, but hey, grandbabies be grandbabies.

700 W. Sheridan - you can't miss it - the sweetest slice of real estate on the Row - and a kicka$$ neon sign.

Thought I wasn't going to be able to go, but now it looks like I might... unfortunately, since I didn't think I was going, all I've got to wear is my work out clothes, hope there isn't a dress code??? If there is, I guess I could come in my uniform

I didn't make the main show but was able to hang out at Joey's and Skinny Slims. Basically closed down the joint with AndrewPerry, Sid, lasomeday, Pete & UrbanPioneer. Great place! Keyed my initials into an outside table :-)

It was nice meeting and talking with those that I could and Im hopeful that when the next meet-up comes along that it will be in my favor to attend.

Wow, that was fun and a big success! Thanks so much to everyone who came... I counted at least 40 and the total number was probably closer to 50.

Such a great group of people, fantastic venue, wonderful host, great food and drink and everyone seemed to enjoy the presentations by Dunlap Codding and Bradley Wynn. Makes me very proud to be part of the OKC community, even though I haven't lived here in 20+ years. :)

It's also exciting to see so many smart, motivated, interesting and creative people with a passion for this town. I've come to realize OKC's greatest asset -- and really the thing that sets the city apart in so many ways -- is the community-wide enthusiasm.

I can't thank Dunlap Codding enough and Bradley Wynn (shipwreck) did a fantastic job.

Already looking forward to the next event!

Everyone -

Thanks for coming out last night - it was our pleasure to host and get to meet everyone. Thanks to Pete for organizing everything.

Hopefully everyone took away a little community spirit and not too much extra weight from the pies!

Hey ever'body,
Got a message that I was being anonymous. Not at all, in fact I
was wearing a name tag at Dunlap and Codding. Ask jerry_way,
Stan Silliman and, of course, Pete. Met several other friends of
OKC Talk, but mmm was missing in action! Pete said something
about a fire. Probably a joke. Another LOL.

I was at Joey's and sitting across from Sid Burgess and his lovely
wife and next to Urban_Pioneer. I didn't get the name of the guy
from Arkansas faking a British accent. LOL!

The pizza was fab and thanx to everyone who turned me on
to Stella Artois. Good brew!

My own self, with this good time stuff. Great pies. Wonderful meeting spot.
Learned a lot about film row history. Than you, Mr. Wynn.
Plus got to revisit some old and meet some new talkers. The "O", Mrs. Stan,
had a great time, as well.

Pete and those Dunlap-Codding folks know how to throw one.
