I have a relative coming to see me in OKC, and they have not been to Oklahoma in 20 years. They will only be here one day, where would you take them? Most obvious to me, would be somewhere downtown or bricktown for dinner.

Depends on what they like. And depends on how much time they have. Definitely include Bricktown, the National Memorial, and Myriad Gardens. If they have a whole day, either the zoo or the Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum is nice.

finish it off with an overpriced beverage at Vast

Spend some Gs and make a reservation at Vast.

Red Prime is a great restaurant with reasonable prices.

A drink at Vast (as suggested) or even the patio at Flint.

Walk the canal, maybe ride the boat tour, walk through Myriad Gardens.

No need for dinner at Vast, as I'm sure the food doesn't match the price tag. But a drink and a view unparalleled will undoubtedly knock their socks off

The Memorial is a must. MBG is a great idea. I'd definitely include a walk through Deep Deuce in someway if possible, 2nd street in particular.

Bricktown I think is not a must, but if you do, then the northern part of the Canal I think highlights the district the best.

Boathouse district is obviously excellent. And then plenty of things to do outside of downtown, museums and such.

one vote for the OKCMOA/Chihuly. . . concur with Memorial, MBG and would add Land Run bronzes on a cruise thru BT.

one vote for the OKCMOA/Chihuly. . . concur with Memorial, MBG and would add Land Run bronzes on a cruise thru BT. I take people to the horse track, when its in season. And Bricktown is a good time. maybe one of the places in the Asian District.

Take a look at Oklahoma City - A Better Life - Oklahoma City - A Better Life (http://www.abetterlifeokc.com). There is great section on what to do. Be sure to watch the video on the home page.

I would say Vast or the WSKY lounge. Maybe do breakfast at the new Waffle Champion. Maybe walk Auto Alley after dark, after a meal at Red Steakhosue. I had my friend in from Charlotte last September and none of those places were open yet. We went to Bricktown, the Land Run monument, Lake Hefner, the zoo, and the Warren Theater. I would say ultimately it depends on who you are having into town where you would take them. Bricktown is a great start for most people, but I wouldn't take my more hipster friends from back in NC there. I would take them to the 16th St Plaza and the Paseo instead.

Ok, something is going over the top, what is "MBG"? My friend from London is arriving in two weeks. She will be here for two months, and this thread is one I want to keep an eye on. Red Prime is a definite.

Never mind, I know what MBG is and we have been there, but I think she would like to go again since it has been remodeled.
