I will be at the game tomorrow. I have not been to a bedlam game since I went to school at OSU and that was the ice bowl. Any tips on how to keep warm?
The last one that I have been to in Stillwater was the 1988 game, been to many in Norman since. We were sitting in the temporary end zone bleachers with the breeze blowing through them. It was cold but tolerable, nowhere near ice bowl cold.

The one thing that is bad is the aluminum bleachers that every place seems to have anymore. Get something to sit on, a seat back, seat pad or blanket. I much preferred the old fiberglass/wood benches in Norman, they would at least warm up and didn't much like the fact they replaced them with the thin aluminum benches. We are not going to the Broncos game on Sunday, Mile High can feel awfully cold with a forecasted high of 14 degrees and a chance of snow. Especially since we have been barely above 0 most of the week.

My brother in law/best friend has had season OSU tickets since he graduated in '82. He's never missed a home game. He borrowed my heaviest socks for today. I will be belly up to my favorite, nice and warm, bar wearing my I HATE ORANGE t-shirt. Boomer Sooner!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to either Baylor or Texas for only losing one conference game to qualify for a BCS game. If you want to point the finger anywhere about OSU not going, I would point to their choke against West Virginia.

Happy for OU of course, but as seldom as I watch football, I much prefer a tight game.

Great finish. Both teams didn't give up at all. There were plenty of times OU and OSU looked terrible, but what's done is done.

Now to see if OU can sneak into an at large BCS bid, which isn't very likely...but who knows.

OU still has a decent chance of going to a BCS game themselves now, especially if Baylor beats Texas today.

Yeah... Looking at Auburn and Missouri, we will probably end up getting annihilated like in the 2005 Orange Bowl.

Then please explain why you want OSU to be placed in a postion to keep it from being able to play a very exciting and capable game against OU, as in 2013's Bedlam today?

And small minded folks really have nothing better to do. That's why some will maintain there's an NCAA investigation into OSU despite one single shred of information to support this.

Because, of course, OSU hiring a private person to look into allegations which have mostly already been debunked is the same as a NCAA investigation.

Happy my Sooners won, not going to rub in the face of the pokes. It happens. The way we were playing this year I'm a little shocked it happened.

Also congrats to conference champs Baylor. Great to see another team step up and help the conference out when other teams are struggling.

I'm hearing interesting speculation tonight about possible bowl games. We know that Baylor will be in the Fiesta. Word is that OU will be in the Cotton at worst and that both the Sugar and Orange Bowls are interested. If OU goes to a BCS game OSU should be in the Cotton.

One sided games like that every year, so unlike the last one, would get to be too boring, at least to me. I for one at least want OU to win every time except when it's playing OSU. The stronger OU is the better the OSU win will be every time. Most of us will take greater pride in what Oklahoma can do sports wise if both OU and OSU are ranked in the top 25 or higher every year.

I have no issue with both teams going undefeated every season until they face each other.
I have no issue with the OU/OSU game being the last conference game every season.
I prefer OU to take their annual contest, and nail biters are fine and dandy, far more often than it does not. (so far so good on this part)

Eh, look at how ugly some of the other big rivalries get... tOSU/Michigan, FSU/UF, etc. I don't think we can take anything away from the improvements OSU has seen the last several years. It is better for the conference that they improve and become strong. The Big 12 needs it badly right now...but it says something that we are still in position to send 2 teams to the BCS.

With all that said. Rivalries bring out the stupid in people, it is just something that has to be dealt with.

Sure this is a very tough bowl match up for OU but regardless of the out come, even if AL wins 52 to 3... this is a successful season for this OU football team.... Nobody though OU would be good enough to land in any BCS bowl. Few thought OU could win 10 games.

When you consider the large number of injuries and other problems though the season this is one of the best coaching jobs by Stoops and his staff....So bad were the injuries at one point this past Saturday OU was down to playing a home schooled walk-on at LB for a time.
There were other walkons and many true and red shirt freshmen who were good enough to beat the 6th ranked team in the nation who was playing with a group of preety good experinced seniors.
Without any doubt, Stoops has establied him self and his program as the best coached program in this state and as a football program with very bright prospects in futuer years.

I know they have we've played in a lot of them and we beat Uconn a few yrs ago but we never beat good teams the other win was Washington State besides our NC in 2000. Big game bob could shut alot of critics up if the team can find a way to win this one.

That Florida State team we beat was very good -- and favored by double digits. Florida was a player or two better and we played them to the wire. LSU's defense was stout and we took that game to the last play.

The worst bowl performances were USC and West Virginia. I don't count the Boise State game as much because that was just a classic, all-time great football game that we happened to end up on the wrong side of the score board.

very well said!!

I hope like hell we beat Alabama...but the very fact that we got to the Sugar Bowl to play a team who was basically #1 all season long (until last week) speaks volumes for this team and this coaching staff.

Nobody thinks OU can win..i kind of like that. Nobody thought OU could beat OSU either (or Florida State in 2000 for that matter). Im not saying we will win, i just hope for a good classic matchup. Alabama and OU are two of the best programs in the history of college football. I sure hope the game reflects that.

I guess you didnt see who Baylor plays in this years Fiesta? Or maybe you forgot OU was matched up with UConn in the Fiesta game a few years back? BCS is what you strive for I suppose but its a joke. Just look at OSU and OU not winning the Big 12 and get much more entertaining matchups while Baylor gets to stomp Central Florida.

I like the OSU Mizzou matchup as its two closely ranked and matched teams and a chance for Big 12 to beat a SEC team.

As far as OU Bama...probably not a winnable game for the Big 12. If OU could only manage 10 offensive points vs OSU then Im not sure they can hang with the Tide.

I have to hand it to the OU squad since everyone pronounced them dead after the wacking in Waco, and even yours truly started the mental flip switching from OU to the Thunder a little early this year. They kept on winning though. Ten win season, finish regular season in the top 10 (or 11), and a BCS bowl appearance...not bad for a "down year."

Now I for one do not think they have the talent to go against Alabama at all. But this was also true with OSU as well. Will Bama come out mad that they were denied an NC and cream us? Or will they not care about what is the equivalent of, for us, a road trip to Dallas with many of their players too focused on their upcoming NFL careers lead by a coach who may or may not be looking for houses in Austin? Who knows, but that's why we play the game. Baylor not withstanding, Bob Stoops has a legacy of having his teams ready to play when everyone writes them off.
